  • Was film festival coordinator (and director of 'ICCF Indie Filmmaker Initiative') for the 2014 International Chinese Film Festival and Golden Dragon Awards held in Sydney, Melbourne, and Gold Coast Australia; with guests attendees including Bingbing Li, Grace Huang, Liya Tong, Sicheng Chen, and jury panelists including Academy Award nominated film director Bruce Beresford, film producer Chris Brown, Academy Award nominated film editor Matt Villa and film director Pauline Chan.
  • For a brief time Matt de Casanove worked as a venue assistant at Sydney's distinguished and beloved Belvoir St Theatre.
  • Matt de Casanove worked for a renowned sports photographer while still in high-school. This was his first paying job in media, and his first professional experience working with 35mm film (the predominant format at the time) and early professional digital cameras.
  • While studying film and theatre at university, Matt de Casanove worked for Birch, Caroll & Coyle cinemas (which later became Event Cinemas) in Australia.
  • Prior to studying theatre and making films, he explored a possible career as a musician, and worked as a live music sound engineer and roadie at multiple concerts and music festivals.
