Blood Orange has announced his first new album in six years, Essex Honey, out on August 29th via RCA. He’s also revealed two new songs, “Mind Loaded” and “Somewhere in Between.”

Essex Honey is Dev Hynes first album as Blood Orange since 2019’s Angel’s Pulse, and his first new music offering since 2022’s Four Songs EP — which also served as his RCA Records debut. Essex Honey finds Hynes diving into his childhood growing up outside of the Essex region in England, with a press release describing the project as a “soundtrack created from a dreamscape of his journey working through grief.”

Last month, Dev Hynes returned as Blood Orange for the first time in three years with “The Field,” a Caroline Polachek-assisted single about grief and escapism. As it turns out, the musician has been thinking a lot about these themes in the six years since his most recent studio album. The grief that comes with living, but also growing up, leaving home, and turning to music to make sense of it all works as the foundation of Essex Honey, the new album from Blood Orange, out August 29.

LadyLand is returning to Under the K Bridge in Brooklyn for Pride Weekend 2025. This year’s festival event, produced by Ladyfag and the Bowery Presents, will be headlined by Cardi B and FKA Twigs.

Cardi B will headline on June 27 with additional performances from Alex Chapman, Armana Khan, Charlene, Chase Icon, Cobra, Danny Tenaglia, F5VE, Leonce, Lushious Massacr, Michael Magnan, Por Detroit (Perfect Lovers b2b Victor Rodriguez), Santi, Sofia Kourtesis, Sukihana, Taahlia, and Uniiqu3.
