RuPaul's Drag Race Season 1: Where Are They Now?
Image
With the 15th season of RuPaul's Drag Race set to premiere on Jan. 6, 2023, all eyes turn to the latest crop of fabulous queens. According to Entertainment Weekly, the latest season of the hit reality TV show will feature the largest cast in series history, pitting 16 queens against each other in an epic showdown beginning this winter. With the show moving from VH1 to MTV this season as well, the prize pool has been increased to 200,000.

One of the best parts of season 15 of RuPaul's Drag Race is new the video promo that pays homage to the character reveal featured in Season 1 of the show that aired in 2009. With the reminder, longtime fans may find themselves wondering what the show's first cast of queens are up to now.

The 10 Hottest "RuPaul's Drag Race" Contestants Out of Drag
RuPaul's Drag Race is a competition based on the unbeatable criteria of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, but a quick glance at the show's contestant history proves that deadly good looks may be a part of the package. And sometimes the package is part of the deadliness. Ow-ow! Cue the chicken laugh, Detox.

In a toast to the sexy dudes behind the mascara and sequins, let us count down the ten hottest men in the history of RuPaul's Drag Race. Bifocals ready, because the library of sexiness is new open.

(Disclaimer: Consider this list an indirect tribute to the gorgeous -- meaning in and out of drag -- Sahara Davenport. She's not with us anymore, but part of her eternal legend is her unbelievable beauty. She's the unranked champ here.)

10. Shangela Laquifa Wadley (D.J. Pierce)

"RuPaul's Drag Race" Seventh Eliminated Queen: "I Was Underestimated Every Challenge."
RuPaul's Drag Race was a charity case last night, arranging its eight remaining queens in a supergroup (a la USA for Africa) and forcing everyone to croon a bombastic ballad called "Can I Get An Amen?" Queens like Ivy Winters and Jinkx Monsoon proved they could've sung right alongside Cyndi Lauper and Kim Carnes, but other queens felt short -- especially Jade Jolie, a.k.a. Josh Green of Gainesville, Fl, who seemed to shrink next to the stronger singers in the competition. Eventually Jade faced off in a tough lip-sync against Coco Montrese, but Coco's explosive connection to the Pointer Sisters classic "I'm So Excited" kept her in the game. That meant Jade Jolie sashayed away, back to the adorable land of Lite Brite-colored wigs from whence she came.

We caught up with Jade Jolie to discuss her fights with Alyssa and Roxxy Andrews, the terror of public singing,...

RuPaul's Drag Race' Fourth Elimination Interview: "Quite Honestly, I Deserved to Stay."
RuPaul's Drag Race shocked us last night, and not just because it staged a ballet based on the exquisite life of its star. Ru dared to eliminate both of the lip-syncing queens who flunked the performance challenge, and thus, we lost two ferocious contestants this week. The first to go -- and the less expected evictee, based on her standing last week -- is Vivienne Pinay, a.k.a. 26-year-old Michael Donehoo of New York City, who touted her good looks and comely femininity, but couldn't quite redeem her performance in the ballet as "America's Next Drag Superstar" or her uninspired lip-sync of Britney Spears' "Oops!... I Did It Again." At least she's in good company: Her competitor Honey Mahogany was also eliminated, and we talked to her as well about the dramatic episode. (Editor's note - We'll have Honey's interview tomorrow morning).

But first: Let's catch up with Vivienne Pinay about the competition,...
