"iCarly" is not a show for grownups, but the show's writers have had more than a little fun over the years inserting references to adult material for the parents who watch with their kids.
We still occasionally watch the show's shout-out to "The Wire," and in Saturday's (April 21) episode, "iOpen a Restaurant," the show did a pretty pitch-perfect riff on Martin Scorsese's "Goodfellas." Minus, of course, the F-bombs and blood.
The setup: Gibby (Noah Munck) has opened a secret restaurant in the school's basement with Sam (Jennette McCurdy) as his right-hand woman. When a school bully named Billy Boots (Chase Austin) gets out of juvie, he pays a visit -- and kicks off a re-creation of the Billy Batts scene from "Goodfellas."
You can watch it play out in the video at the top of the post. The Billy Boots scene starts about a minute in and picks back up at the 6:09 mark.
