Patrick Schwarzenegger: Heartthrob on the Rise, But What About Arnold’s Look Alike Son, Joseph?
Image
Patrick Schwarzenegger recently found his footing in the industry with a meaty role in the third season of The White Lotus. Schwarzenegger looks to build his own brand in films, separate from his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has been hailed as a heartthrob in Hollywood, which will definitely make the family proud.

However, Patrick isn’t the Schwarzenegger son who has the looks and physique of his father. That would be the Predator actor’s son, Joseph Baena, who was born out of an affair with his maid, Mildred. Baena’s identity was kept a secret until he was seven or eight years old by his mother, but the truth came out once he started to resemble more like his father.

14 Celebrity Children’s Books to Put You Right to Sleep
Image
You have to admire Bethenny Frankel’s grind; who else is doing product placement for their body dysmorphia/alcohol brand inside of their own children’s book?

14 Tim Tebow: ‘Bronco and Friends’

Tebow wanted to remind everyone that he spent two years on the Denver Broncos by first naming his dog “Bronco,” and then writing two books about a dog named Bronco going to a party and a picnic. The about-the-author section mentions, helpfully, that “Tim and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow (Miss Universe 2017), live in Jacksonville, Florida.”

13 Bethenny Frankel: ‘Cookie Meets Peanut’

This is an extremely pink book about a little girl and a spoiled dog that, troublingly, includes an illustration of her bottled margaritas, Skinny Girl Cocktails. A small but grating detail: She says the word “walkies” a lot.

Patrick Schwarzenegger attended his third Met Gala event on May 5, defying objections from a family member. Schwarzenegger adorned a navy and yellow Balmain suit designed by Olivier Rousteing. He is practically a Met Gala vet by this point, however, his appearance this year comes after a political rant from his cousin, Jack Schlossberg, the son of Caroline Kennedy.

Schlossberg called for the boycott of fashion’s biggest night, claiming that he couldn’t go to the event in good conscience after what’s happening around the world. Should Patrick Schwarzenegger be the next Patrick Bateman?
When Sports came out in ‘83, they really came into their own. He’s been compared to Elvis Costello but he has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. Ok, that’s enough about Huey Lewis — let’s chat Patrick Schwarzenegger, as the actor has once again teased his interest in playing Patrick Bateman in the upcoming American Psycho remake from Luca Guadagnino.

Replying to a user on X who said Patrick Bateman could be Schwarzenegger’s breakout role, the actor wrote, “I’d love nothing more ;)”. All right, we shouldn’t look too much into winking here but let’s all admit that Patrick Schwarzenegger would be perfect as Patrick Bateman. He has the physique, he has the offbeat charm, he has the confidence, and it’s someone that our very own Kier Gomes suggested get the role (and I totally agree!) And he is well on his way to that “breakout” role,...

Patrick Schwarzenegger is one of the breakout stars of The White Lotus Season 3, but he doesn’t want people to think he only got the role because of his famous parents.

Schwarzenegger, who plays privileged Saxton Ratliff in the Mike White-created HBO series, is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

“I know there are people who’ll say I only got this role because of who my dad is,” Schwarzenegger told The Sunday Times. “They’re not seeing that I’ve had 10 years of acting classes, put on school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions I’ve been on.”

He continued, “Of course, it’s frustrating, and you can get boxed in, and you think at that moment, I wish I didn’t have my last name. But that’s a small moment.”

10 Most Controversial Saturday Night Live Skits & Moments Of All Time
Image
Saturday Night Live is one of the longest-running television shows of all time, but it has caused quite a bit of controversy throughout its 50 years on screen. 2025 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the popular comedy show, and there are multiple specials about Saturday Night Live's anniversary coming out in January and February of this year. One of them, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, was just released and touches upon some of the most iconic and oddest moments from the show.

SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night was primarily focused on celebrating the history and achievements of the show rather than on identifying the controversies and scandals that have taken place over the show's several decades, though. The docuseries did explore the "weird year" of Saturday Night Live (referring to season 11 of the show), but SNL has received much more significant backlash for some of its decisions than it did for that unpopular season.

Josh Rivera leads the American Sports Story cast as Aaron Hernandez, the former collegiate and NFL superstar tight end who was convicted of murdering semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd in 2015.

The first three episodes of American Sports Story dive into Hernandez's college years and relationships with two University of Florida legends, Meyer and star quarterback Tim Tebow. Hernandez emerged as a legend himself during his three seasons with the Florida Gators, winning a national championship in 2008 and the prestigious John Mackey Award...

Who Is Reed? Florida's Tight End After Aaron Hernandez & What Happened To Him
American Sports Story (2024)
Warning: Spoilers ahead for American Sports Story.

The new FX series American Sports Story depicts a scuffle between future NFL tight ends and former college teammates Aaron Hernandez and Jordan Reed. As one of the biggest true story changes in American Sports Story episode 3, Hernandez and Reed did not actually get into a fight during a 2009 practice at the University of Florida. As a way for the series to portray Hernandez's inability to control his violent impulsivity and demonstrate his invincible mentality, Hernandez tackles Reed as he carries the ball during practice. In the context of the dramatized scene, Hernandez wasn't supposed to be on the field after getting benched for showing up high on cannabis.

How ‘American Sports Story’ Navigates Those Complicated NFL Variables
Image
In 2013, at the height of his NFL power, New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez shot and killed Odin Lloyd. In 2015, a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder. And, in 2017, he was discovered hanging in his prison sell and pronounced dead an hour later.

The inaugural season of American Sports Story aims to unravel how an auspicious football career went so far off the rails — but, just as importantly to its producers, how massive enterprises like the NFL and NCAA football and the hundred million-plus viewers they court played a role in the tragedy. “We’re trying to talk about our obsession with this national religion of football, while also telling a story about what happens when a complicated and flawed individual intersects with systems of power,” executive producer Brad Simpson tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a stew of things that make it bigger than just a tabloid true crime story.

‘American Sports Story’ Stars Josh Rivera and Patrick Schwarzenegger Break Down Their Larger-Than-Life Take on Aaron Hernandez and Tim Tebow
Image
When Patrick Schwarzenegger was cast on “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez,” he felt more excitement than trepidation. That may be surprising considering Schwarzenegger plays one of the most publicized and divisive figures in modern football, Tim Tebow.

“Any sort of nervousness or fear [I felt] would probably be from my friends who are all football fans and how they’ll critique it,” Schwarzenegger told TheWrap. “I was super excited to get to be part of this, to work with such amazing other actors and showrunners and producers like Ryan Murphy and to play a character like Tebow, whom I’m a huge fan of.”

Tim Tebow and Aaron Hernandez played football together for the University of Florida. According to the New York Post, at one point coach Urban Meyer wanted to kick Hernandez off the team for his marijuana use but Tebow changed his mind. The two developed a friendship of sorts,...

‘American Sports Story’: Patrick Schwarzenegger Talks Embracing Tim Tebow’s Religious Fervor
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez, Season 1, Episodes 3, “Pray the Gay Away.”] FX‘s American Sports Story continues to chronicle the meteoric rise of Aaron Hernandez (Josh Rivera) as the athlete eyes the NFL, but in the show’s latest installment, “Pray the Gay Away,” Aaron turned to another familiar sports face for guidance, leaning on upperclassman at the University of Florida, Tim Tebow (Patrick Schwarzenegger). In the episode, Aaron leans on drugs and partying to numb himself as he struggles to cope with his sexuality, the pressures of the game, and more. When Tim notices Aaron’s game suffering, he reaches out to the teammate and encourages him to attend church. There, the men have a candid conversation after Tim delivers a rousing sermon, and although it appears that their chat has improved Aaron’s outlook, he still struggles to resist hidden temptations and control his frustrations during a trip home for Thanksgiving. ...

American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez episode 3 recap and review: "Pray the Gay Away"
Image
Ryan Murphy’s American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez continued with episode three on Sept. 24. In the course of the third episode, audiences watched Aaron win, lose, find God, and announce he’d be entering the NFL draft. Let’s review episode 3, titled “Pray the Gay Away,” by highlighting the main events.

Spoiler alert! Before you read ahead, please note there are spoilers. If you missed Sports Story episode 3, go stream the episode on Hulu before reading below.

The start of “Pray the Gay Away” showcases a very different Aaron from the one we see in the final moments of the episode. Now, remember, Murphy’s Sports Story is strongly based on the true story of former NFL star Aaron Hernandez (Josh Andrés Rivera), but several people and events are made up or dramatized for the story. That said, we are not sure how close Tim Tebow’s (Patrick Schwarzenegger) was with Aaron.

Why Patrick Schwarzenegger Wanted to Play Tim Tebow in ‘American Sports Story’ and His “Wild” Debut in ‘White Lotus’
Image
[This story contains spoilers from episode three of American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez, “Pray the Gay Away.”]

Patrick Schwarzenegger’s brief but buzzy portrayal of college football great Tim Tebow in Ryan Murphy’s latest production American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez is surprisingly one he sought. “I wish they just came to me and said, ‘you want to play Tim Tebow?’ I’m not on that level yet,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It came to me just in my inbox as a good ole audition.”

The small size of the role in the 10-episode limited series about the troubled NFL star whose fall from grace involved murder and suicide didn’t deter Schwarzenegger, who admits he takes a different approach to acting than his very famous father.

“It’s funny, because I have a different theory than someone like my dad,” he explains, without naming megastar Arnold Schwarzenegger. “My dad is always like, ‘go for the main title,...

Tim Tebow's American Sports Story Actor Makes 1 Imminent Interaction Really Weird
Image
One casting choice for American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez is unusual for one very meta reason concerning an exchange between two characters that is sure to happen in the show. Although Josh Rivera leads the American Sports Story cast as the titular athlete, the show follows the exploits of other NFL players and coaches whose playing and personal journeys overlapped with Hernandez's playing career. One of those people is college quarterback sensation Tim Tebow, but the actor who plays him in American Sports Story creates an issue.

Tebow is one of the most prolific college quarterbacks of all time. Although his professional career never lived up to the promise of his collegiate years, his time as a Florida Gator made it tough to deny his athletic prowess. As the University of Florida's QB1, Tebow served not only as the team's on-field leader but also away from the football field as well.

Was Cam Newton Kicked Out Of Florida For Stealing A Laptop? American Sports Story Fact Check
Image
Although Hulu's American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez focuses primarily on its titular athlete, the show also chronicles certain exploits of other real-life figures, but it doesn't always make historical accuracy a priority. Cam Newton, played by Warren Egypt Franklin, is one of many real NFL players and coaches represented in American Sports Story. While the overall story is based on actual events, American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez episode 2 changes the details surrounding what happened to Newton near the end of his time at the University of Florida.

Aaron Hernandez's football career only overlapped very slightly with that of Cam Newton's. Although they were both Florida Gators, their respective playing positions and places on the depth chart meant they didn't really compete together all that much. The story about Newton being dismissed for theft in American Sports Story is based on an element of truth, but the show...

‘American Sports Story’: The Breakdown of the Aaron Hernandez Case
Image
There was a period of time when the name Aaron Hernandez was synonymous with football. That changed during the New England Patriots’ 2013 offseason when the tight end was arrested and charged for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

As “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez” tells it, this case isn’t a simple one. No single moment or feud led to the football star’s arrest. Instead, a lifetime of abuse and hiding his sexuality paired with endless access to drugs, an environment that encouraged violence and a sport that often leads to severe brain injuries led to these entirely preventable crimes. Ahead of Ryan Murphy and Stu Zicherman’s deep dive, consider this your guide to the major details of the Hernandez case.

The Odin Lloyd murder, explained

On June 26, 2013, Aaron Hernandez’s life and legacy was forever changed. That was when the New England Patriots tight end was arrested and...

American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez TV Review
Image
Plot: The limited series charts the rise and fall of NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez and explores the disparate strands of his identity, his family, his career, his suicide and their legacy in sports and American culture.

Review: The fourth series in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s American Story franchise, American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez blends a tale focused on a famous athlete with the criminal angle of related series like American Crime Story. The nineteenth volume in the ongoing franchise, Aaron Hernandez is a story that fits right at home alongside Murphy and Falchuk’s subject matter. There are mental illness, murder, celebrity, and queer storylines in abundance, with a new angle that intends to be something of an indictment of the world of college and professional football. However, rather than make a decisive commentary about how the NCAA and NFL have failed to protect players both medically and socially,...

‘American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez’ Review: Ryan Murphy’s Risky FX Series Explores Sexuality and Head Injuries
Image
“Kid’s going to end up in the Hall of Fame. Or prison.”

In 2013, New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested for the murder of his fiance’s sister’s boyfriend, Odin Lloyd. Not the only major crime he was accused of committing, Hernandez was eventually convicted and died in prison of an apparent suicide. A 27-year-old who felt he had run out of excuses and options, Hernandez’s health prior to his death has been plagued with notions he suffered from paranoia, sexual identity issues and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (Cte).

A lot happens in the first episode of the new anthology series “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez,” which was born from the mind of Ryan Murphy and his frequent team of writers and directors. Based on the podcast “Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc.,” the show’s first season concerns the New England-born NFL player (Josh Andrés Rivera...

‘American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez’ Review: FX’s Distressing True Crime Series Targets Football
Image
“American Crime Story,” the second installment in Ryan Murphy’s FX franchise after “American Horror Story,” began with a football star. “The People vs. O.J. Simpson” focused on how fame and finances can turn our legal system into a circus, but at its center was the former Buffalo Bills running back. As played by Cuba Gooding Jr., Simpson had an erratic disposition. At times, he could be charming, even comforting, a man who fit the part of a TV personality beloved by his wealthy, white Brentwood neighbors. But under pressure, he was a different guy. He was angry in a way that felt uncontrollable, and when he flew off the handle, Simpson no longer resembled the celebrity who you’d go out to see for a Friday night movie and then invite into your home to talk football every Sunday.

“American Crime Story” wanted viewers to appreciate why so many...
