Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s $100-million five-year contract with Netflix will reportedly not be renewed.
The contract was first signed in 2020 and is set to conclude later this year, without plans for any future collaborations.
An inside source told The Sun, “There’s no animosity from either side…things have just run their course.”
They continued, “Netflix were clever in that they got a hell of a lot of viewers for the first documentary series, and knew, realistically, it would prove the zenith of content from the Montecito pair… They’re not unhappy with how things turned out — they got those initial hits, and produced one of the most talked-about shows of all time.”
However, a senior executive at Netflix gave a less enthusiastic perspective on the conclusion of the deal, saying, “They’re letting it expire without drama… But there’s no appetite for anything new.”

Skyler Gisondo brought new life to Jimmy Olsen in James Gunn’s Superman. The actor got to portray the young Daily Planet photographer’s penchant for attracting women and he might have attracted another crazily attached significant other if he were to portray the main Focker for the upcoming Meet the Parents sequel. Deadline reports that Gisondo has signed on to join the comedy franchise, but there is yet to be confirmation on which role he’s slated to play.
Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo and Blythe Danner are already on board to reprise their characters. John Hamburg, co-writer of the Meet the Parents trilogy, returns to write this new installment, and he also sits in the director’s chair this time around.

Meet the Parents 4 has just recast its first character. Little Fockers actor Colin Baiocchi is confirmed not to return as Henry Focker, the son of Ben Stiller and Teri Polo's characters, in the upcoming comedy sequel.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Skyler Gisondo, who wowed audiences earlier this month as Jimmy Olsen in James Gunn's Superman, has instead been cast in the role. He joins a cast that includes returning stars Stiller, Polo, Robert De Niro, Owen Wilson, and Blythe Danner alongside fellow newcomer Ariana Grande (Wicked). Gisondo is expected to have a pretty major role in Meet the Parents 4, with the sequel reportedly revolving around his character's engagement to a ball-busting woman (Grande) who seems all wrong for him.
