The projects will be pitched at South Asia’s largest film market.

India’s Film Bazaar market has revealed the 20 projects selected for this year’s Co-Production Market.

The invited titles originate from 11 countries and will be pitched to producers, distributors, festival programmers, financiers and sales agents at Goa’s Marriott Resort from November 20-24.

The line-up includes projects from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the US, UK, Singapore, Germany, France, Poland, Luxembourg and Israel.

India’s Film Bazaar, South Asia’s largest film market, has selected a range of projects from around the world for its annual co-production market.

The 20 selected projects are from 11 countries, most are already structured as co-productions, and they are all South Asian-themed. From Israel, the Hebrew-language “Raju” by Dror Sabo (“Dead End”), will be produced by Lee Yardeni for My TV Productions (“Nevelot”). Rafael Kapelinski, director of Berlinale winner “Butterfly Kisses,” is at the market with English, German and Hindi-language Germany-India-France-Poland-u.K. co-production “The Distant Near,” produced by Katharina Suckale for Bombay Berlin Film Production (“Loev”).

Hindi-language Germany-Luxembourg-France co-production “Kohinoor,” by Udita Bhargava (Berlinale selection “Dust”), will be produced by Martin Lehwald for Schiwago Film (Berlinale winner “Styx”). With five Malayalam films, four Tamil films and one film each from Telugu and Tulu, the festival is set to screen a host of films from the southern states. The National Film Development Corporation (Nfdc) has announced the nine scripts selected for the second edition of the National Script Lab to be held from October 2014 – March 2015.

Actor Konkona Sensharma and editor Ranjeet Bahadur are among the nine writers whose scripts have been selected.

The first screenwriting workshop will be held from October 12 – 17, 2014 at the Courtyard Marriott, Chakan, Pune, followed by two more workshops and one-to-one consultation sessions over the next six months.

Marten Rabarts (Senior Consultant, Training and Development, Nfdc), Olivia Stewart (Producer of The House of Mirth, Brassed Off, and script consultant on The Lunchbox), and Rajat Kapoor, writer-director of Ankhon Dekhi will mentor these scriptwriters.

Also as part of the National Script Lab program, the screenwriters will also attend Nfdc Film Bazaar 2014 (Nov 20–24) to network and introduce their upcoming projects to both the Indian and international film industry delegates attending the market.

Bengaluru International Film Festival has announced the line-up of its Chitra Bharathi – Indian Cinema Competition, Kannada Cinema competition section and the 100 Years of Indian Cinema section.

A total of eleven films in the Chitra Bharathi – Indian Cinema Competition will vie for the “Suchitra Samman” with a cash prize of Rs 4 lakhs, equally divided between the director and the producer of the film. While the eight Kannada films in the Kannada Cinema competition section will contend for Rs 2 lakh award, to be equally divided between the producer and the director of the winning film.

The festival will also celebrate the centenary year of Indian cinema with the screening of twelve selected films.

The 5th edition of the festival (20th to 27th December, 2012) had recently announced the line- up of other sections.
