Tyga is taking big steps to pay off his debt to celebrity jeweler Jason Arasheben.

Arasheben sued the rapper back in 2013, claiming Tyga owes him an "excess of $270,000" in unpaid jewelry expenses. The jeweler's attorney, Danny Abir of Abir, Cohen, Treyzon and Salo, told Et on Tuesday that Tyga has paid $100,000 of the $200,000 owed to his client. Abir says Tyga plans to pay the other half by Nov. 17.

The latest development in the lawsuit comes after Tyga appeared at Abir's office on Oct. 18 for a scheduled debtors examination as planned, but fell ill two hours into questioning and was deemed "not well enough to proceed," Abir told Et last month.
