Marvel vet Mark Ruffalo didn’t quite go full Hulk on Joe Rogan for the pugilistic podcaster’s recent realization that Donald Trump and masked Ice agents’ harsh attacks and rounding-up of undocumented and non-criminal Latino immigrants are cruel and out of control, but the multiple Oscar nominee got pretty close.
“Dear @joerogan. It’s a little late now to pretend like project 2025 didn’t exist and wasn’t the play book all along. You are either not that smart or not that dumb. It’s hard to tell at this point,” Avengers alum and political advocate Ruffalo posted on the Mark Zuckerberg-owned Threads on July 6, with reference to the nearly 1,000 page publication that Trump disavowed during last year’s election and embraced with a vengeance once he was back in the White House.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) told reporters he’d rather be on vacation during the ongoing series of votes on Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

“I’ve already my I’ve missed our entire trip to to the beach,” he added. “My family’s going to be back before we – so – and again, I’m gonna vote no. There’s no drama. In fact, the only interesting votes are going to be on the margin, whether that’s Sen. [Susan] Collins [(R-Maine)] or Sen. Fetterman is already under fire for not showing sufficient interest in his job.

If Republicans manage to pass Donald Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” millions of Americans will lose access to health care, food assistance, and other critical public support programs. One would hope that Democrats — despite being the minority in both chambers — would put up the strongest fight they can against the disastrous piece of legislation.
Sen. John Fetterman’s mind is on the beach.

The Senate confirmed Olivia Trusty to the FCC, a move that gives Donald Trump and Republicans a 2-1 majority on the commission.
The Senate voted 53-45 to confirm Trusty, with Sen. John Fetterman (D-pa) the sole Democrat to vote in favor.
The FCC has been split 2-2 since Trump took office, and more recently 1-1 after the departures of Democrat Geoffrey Starks and Republican Nathan Simington.
With the majority, the Republican-controlled FCC will be able to carry out some of the promised initiatives on Trump’s agenda, which has included a deregulation initiative. Broadcasters are pushing for lifting of ownership rules, which they call outdated.
Less clear is how Trusty will weigh in on other controversial commission proceedings and inquiries. The FCC under chairman Brendan Carr, appointed to the post by Donald Trump, also has launched investigations of major media companies, including over the diversity, equity and inclusion policies. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) condemned the Democratic Party for letting Los Angeles endure “anarchy and true chaos.”
“I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations and immigration – but this is not that,” Fetterman stated on X. “This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings and assaulting law enforcement.”
The senator’s post also included an image of a destroyed car in a fiery inferno while a shirtless and masked rioter stands on top.
This post comes as Democrats in Washington and California slam President Donald Trump after he ordered National Guard troops and Marines to L.A. County.
As of Friday, riots which began as anti-immigration enforcement protests contained many L.A. Rioters in face masks and waving foreign flags who have set fire to cars, thrown bricks at police and federal officers, confronted the authorities,...

Early last month, various Democratic senators shared concerns about Fetterman’s unstable behavior.
On Monday morning, Fetterman and Sen. Dave McCormick (R-Pennsylvania) had a bipartisan discussion about key issues affecting the commonwealth and the United States. This discussion, which aired on Fox Nation, took place in Boston at The Senate Project.

However, he does not seem to be enjoying his participation, and The New York Times pointed out he appears to have “little interest in the day-to-day work of serving in the United States Senate.”
Two years ago, Fetterman spoke out about his mental health struggles, coming forward with it as a reason behind his erratic behavior, poor attendance and general disinterest in his job. Multiple Democratic senators have shared concerns regarding Sen. John Fetterman’s (D-Pennsylvania) unstable behavior.
The senators are having private discussions about how to help Fetterman after a New York magazine report revealed that he behaves erratically and in a way that might pose a danger to himself or others.
Two Democratic senators told The Hill that they are speaking with colleagues about how to help Fetterman, who they fear is struggling to cope with the emotional tension of serving in Congress.
“Every time I see him, I’m worried about him,” one Democratic senator who requested anonymity stated.
The senator cited the report, which noted that Fetterman’s ex-chief of staff alerted his doctor at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center that he was “on a bad trajectory” and may not live “for much longer” unless something changes.

Television personality Mehmet Oz was sworn in as the new administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid on Friday, but the Oval Office ceremony ended when a girl family member fainted.
A reporter was about to ask a question when the incident occurred, and Trump looked over at what was happening. White House staffers could then be heard shouting “press out” and “get out right now.” Trump then went over to see what happened, and could be heard saying, “She’s Ok.”
Per the White House, “A minor family member fainted during Dr. Oz’s swearing-in ceremony in the Oval Office. We are happy to say she is okay.”
According to a pool reporter, Oz rushed over to the girl, and she stood up but appeared unsteady. She then made her way out of the Oval Office.
Earlier, Trump talked up Oz’s ratings when he hosted the daytime Dr.

Trump’s interminable address to Congress was met with Democratic responses ranging from angry heckling, from Texas Rep. Al Green, to sober counterprogramming, from Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin.

He protested, highlighting his own political flexibility: “I’m on record critiquing, going after Hunter Biden. And I also agree that the [Trump hush-money] trial in this city, in New York, was politically motivated.”
Surprised, host Sunny Hostin clarified, “Did you mean that the 34-count case in which Donald Trump was found guilty of various financial crimes was politically motivated here in New York?”

In response to the news that the Trump Administration is using both Ice agents and military equipment to carry out these deportations, Whoopi Goldberg asked her co-stars, “Is this the immigration system fix that people had in mind when they voted?” Sara Haines was the first to speak up and decided to clarify the actual statistics involved by saying, “The headlines and all the coverage would make you think that there’s this massive deportation. But by numbers, contextually, President Obama still remains the deporter in chief. Even if Trump continues at this rate, he will not even hit what President Obama hit in one year, with 400,000.” Haines...

He also answered some truly tough questions from the panelists about his positions on Trump’s moves. First, Fetterman explained why he hasn’t been surprised by Trump’s official acts after taking office at the White House last week: “I mean, he’s been doing essentially what he actually campaigned on. He announced he is going to pardon the J6 individuals. He is going to absolutely go after the border. So there’s a lot of things that he’s already ran on. I mean, criticized a lot of it, and I don’t agree with everything either, but it’s undeniable he actually ran on that and been really upfront,...

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) received negative responses from social media users after he came to Donald Trump‘s inauguration ceremony wearing shorts and a hoodie.
On Jan. 20, Trump’s swearing-in as president was moved inside the U.S. Capitol rotunda because of the record-low temperatures and cold winds in Washington, D.C.
Most of the ground was frozen and icy from the rain and snow fall which occurred the day prior.
Despite the frigid conditions and formality of the inauguration, Fetterman, who Trump called “a fascinating man,” was photographed sitting in the front row in the Capitol Rotunda wearing a black Carhartt hoodie, gray gym shorts and On sneakers. He also had his legs spread in front of him.
People on the social media platform X, delivered mostly negative responses about Fetterman’s choice of attire.

Even though he acknowledged that Donald Trump’s second inauguration marks the beginning of an important era in American history, that didn’t stop Jon Stewart from making a dick joke about the event. Politics aside, the man is only human.
The “Daily Show” joke stemmed from a moment in Trump’s inauguration speech on Monday, during which he said, “From this moment on, America’s decline is over.”
After playing that clip, Stewart stared at the camera and tapped his pen on his desk repeatedly. The Comedy Central host then feigned a somber tone: “This is a tumultuous time in American history, filled with much uncertainty and trepidation. But it is very difficult for me to not in any way take the bait of the way he said ‘dick-line.'”
Stewart kept up his faux-serious tone as he explained, “It really did sound like he said ‘our dick-line,’ like the line of our dick.

Well, this certainly was a bold fashion statement to make. Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman managed to raise eyebrows when he showed up to the Inauguration wearing shorts. And of course, there are a lot of people out there who want to know why.
John Fetterman Wore Shorts To The Inauguration For This Reason
Per the latest reports, Senator John Fetterman shows up to Trump’s inauguration in gym shorts and a Carhartt sweatshirt.
Apparently, John wanted to prove a point about the inauguration. He wanted to show the world that it wasn’t too cold to have it held outside and the only reason why it was held inside this year was because of security threats.
Clearly, John Fetterman knows something that the rest of the world doesn’t know.

President-elect Donald Trump praised Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) after they met in Mar-a-Lago.
Trump invited Fetterman to this hour-long meeting, which took place over the weekend and involved discussions of acquiring Greenland, using tariffs to promote U.S. steel, backing Israel and securing the southern border.
Nippon Steel’s effort to purchase U.S. Steel for $15 billion fell apart in early January when President Joe Biden blocked the deal.
Trump and Fetterman were against the deal for national security reasons and were concerned about blue-collar jobs.
“It was a totally fascinating meeting,” the president-elect stated during an interview with the Washington Examiner. “He’s a fascinating man, and his wife is lovely. They were both up, and I couldn’t be more impressed.”

On Monday, the ladies of The View grappled with the implications of John Fetterman’s recent visit to Mar-a-Lago, where he met with former and incoming President Donald Trump. The discussion, while not entirely unified, saw an unusual level of agreement among the co-hosts regarding Fetterman’s justification for the controversial sit-down. Fetterman defended his actions, stating […]

Since the cohosts of The View have differing ideological backgrounds, they all know a thing or two about finding common ground — even if their topic discussions sometimes get testy in the process of meeting minds. So when the subject of Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman’s recent trip to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Donald Trump came up on Monday’s (January 13) episode, they brought that wisdom to the table and showed some surprisingly universal support for the move … but with one common complaint. The panelists first reviewed a clip of Fetterman explaining his visit by saying, “This is going to be the president, and I am not just the senator for Democrats in Pennsylvania. I’m the senator for everyone in Pennsylvania, and my state picked Donald Trump as president. And if I have the opportunity to have that conversation, we’re gonna find things to work together for a better Pennsylvania and a better nation.

Donald Trump will soon start his second term as president. Don’t expect a strong opposition party or healthy “resistance” movement this time, at least not in Washington during the “shock and awe” start of his new administration. With 10 days before the president-elect is sworn in, Democrats in Congress are already capitulating to Trump harder than virtually anyone expected — and Republicans are ecstatic over the degree to which Trump and the GOP’s wins have “paralyzed” the Democratic elite.

Who knew he would become this popular and this fast following his historic presidential win? That’s what both critics and fans on both sides of the aisle seem to be asking as it looks like Democrats are trying to cozy up to Donald Trump again. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Per the latest reports, Senator John Fetterman says Trump won because he protects the American way of life, and says Trump is not a fascist like Kamala Harris claimed.
Fetterman says he knows a lot of Democrats in Pennsylvania who voted for Trump. He even put it this way, “A lot of Democrats, especially in my state that I know and I happen to love people that [voted] for Trump and they are not fascists.”

Politico has hired NBC News correspondent Dasha Burns as its White House bureau chief.
Burns, who reported on the Trump campaign in the recent election, has been with the network for eight years, starting as associate producer.
Politico’s global editor in chief John Harris wrote in a memo to staffers, “As a national correspondent for NBC News, Dasha gained widespread attention for her in-depth reporting during the 2022 U.S. midterm elections. Her exclusive interview with Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman sparked a national conversation about health and transparency in politics, cementing her reputation as a tenacious, fair, and incisive journalist. Dasha’s ability to bring complex stories to life in ways that are urgent, distinctive and relevant aligns perfectly with Politico’s mission to provide readers with unparalleled depth and breadth of coverage.”
Harris noted that during the 2024 campaign, Burns led coverage of the July assassination attempt on Trump’s life.

The View experienced a very surprising bit of technical trouble on Thursday’s (December 5) episode when it came to the guest of the day. Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman joined in via video call to discuss some of the biggest political subjects of the day, such as the Hunter Biden pardon and Donald Trump’s most controversial cabinet picks. Halfway through his third answer, about his stance on the Israel-Gaza war, his video feed cut off mid-sentence, with the screen plunging to sudden blackness. “Oh, we lost him!” Joy Behar said. “Oh, shoot, I wanted to hear what he’d say,” Alyssa Farah Griffin, who’d asked him the question he was responding to, then said. “We lost the satellite,” Behar continued. “Oh, well, it does happen,” Whoopi Goldberg then said before sending the show into commercial. Upon returning, Griffin apologized to him for the “technical difficulties” and restated her original...

Dr. Mehmet Oz, Donald Trump‘s pick to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (Cms), has yet to be confirmed to the Cabinet position by a Senate he failed to join after a costly 2022 campaign. President-elect Donald Trump, continuing his pattern of appointing TV figures to top positions in his next administration, said that he has nominated Dr. Mehmet Oz to serve as administrator of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services.
“He is an eminent physician, heart surgeon, inventor, and world-class communicator, who has been at the forefront of healthy living for decades,” Trump said in a statement.
He said that Oz would work closely with Robert Kennedy Jr., whom Trump nominated to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated television personality Dr. Mehmet Oz to be the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Oz is a physician, professor emeritus of cardiothoracic surgery at Columbia University and hosted the daytime talk show “The Dr. Oz Show” from 2009 to 2022. The show featured segments on health, wellness and occasionally true crime, and it was co-produced by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios. Over the years, Oz has been criticized by medical professionals for his support of pseudoscience, homeopathy and alternative medicines.
“The Dr. Oz” show ended in 2022 when Oz ran as a Republican for Pennsylvania’s Senate seat. He lost to Sen. John Fetterman. Oz’s nomination comes days after Trump tapped Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a noted vaccine skeptic, to be secretary of health and human services — and years ago, Kennedy Jr. drew criticism for questioning vaccine efficacy on “The Dr. Oz Show.”

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, who was set to appear virtually for an interview with Jon Stewart during “The Daily Show” live election special on Tuesday night, canceled 30 seconds before his segment.
Stewart announced that the politician, currently holding court in his home swing state of Pennsylvania, would no longer be joining him for their planned interview.
“[Fetterman] was unable to join us,” Stewart announced after the show’s first commercial break. “But because we are a professional and venerated news show it’s not like I just have to sit here… with nobody to talk to or nothing to do just because somebody said 30 seconds before we were supposed to have him as a guest.”
“It’s not happening,” he continued through nervous laughs.
Instead, Arizona’s Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs called in, where she reported that since the polls closed at 7:00 p.m., the state is just beginning to see the first results.

Election Day is finally here. And with it comes wall-to-wall coverage from around the country. That includes late-night TV.
Over the past few years, late-night TV has become an even bigger part of the political machine. Candidates stop by shows along with commentators, autors, and established politicians.
That has also lead to increased coverage on major political events. Debates and elections have been met with live episodes of shows like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and others.
So now that Election Night 2024 is here, which late-night TV shows will go live?
Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will not be live tonight, nor will a new episode air. Instead, the show will be pre-empted by ABC's election coverage.
However, Jimmy Kimmel will be back on Wednesday night with a brand-new episode. He'll be joined by Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer, and Tommy Vietor to discuss the previous night's events.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) came to the defense of President Joe Biden after his widely criticized debate performance against former President Donald Trump on Thursday evening.
Fetterman shared a screenshot of a Politico story that outlined how “panicked” Democrats have started to look for alternatives to Biden after the debate, which was viewed by many as a disaster. However, Fetterman firmly stated, “I refuse to join the Democratic vultures on Biden’s shoulder after the debate.”
Fetterman emphasized that “no one knows more than me that a rough debate is not the sum total of the person and their record.” This statement clearly referenced Fetterman’s own experience in the heated Pennsylvania Senate debate in late October 2022, during which his health complications were a major talking point.

In early June, Fetterman revealed that he was moving away from the “progressive” label he used to embrace. He was criticized by some within his party for his opinions on critical issues, specifically his support for Israel and concerns regarding border security.
