Andrey Averkov is a Russian theater and film actor, director. In 2001, he graduated from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Arts, course of A. D. Andreev. In 2010, he graduated from the St. Petersburg University of Cinema and Television. In 2001-2011, he was an actor at the St. Petersburg Academic Comedy Theatre named after Akimov.
He began acting in films in 2003. At first, he played bit parts. The actor became famous in 2010 after his role as detective Georgiy Olshanskiy in the crime detective Proshchay, 'makarov'! (2010). He played the leading roles in the films Ya emu veryu! (2012) (Pyotr Krylov) and Looking for a Fellow Traveler (2014) (Vasiliy Kulebyaka).
Since 2006, he has been working as a director. He filmed several episodes of the 13th season of the popular series Streets of Broken Lights (1998).
