- We need more movies about love. The audiences tend to agree as we have won numerous audience awards for best feature film at LGBTQ film festivals around the globe. I hope the audiences take away a sense of Carpe Diem, that we have to live now because that is all we have in the end. That is it never too late to let go, to start over and to love again - if only we can get past our daunting fear. I'm working on it.

- Overnight successes are never overnight. I was writing Tru Love in 2010 but the journey to get there took my whole life. ..I studied film writing and producing and knew if I was going to make films, I would have to do so on my own or with other women or queer filmmakers and not wait for permission in an Industry that unfortunately does not readily support female/queer filmmakers.
- I have many strengths (I have very strong visual eye for telling a story and I know where the tension lies) and I also have a lot to learn from others - technically, which is ongoing and a huge learning curve & one in which I am grateful to learn from.
