The 1989 buddy cop movie "Tango & Cash" is a weird animal. Lieutenant Ray Tango (Sylvester Stallone) is the star cop of the LAPD's narcotics division on the Westside, while Lieutenant Gabriel Cash (Kurt Russell) is the star officer of the Eastside. People from Los Angeles know that these are vital distinctions. The two haven't ever met, but are both loathed by the criminal underworld, and are set up by drug dealers to take the fall for a drug bust gone wrong. Tango and Cash are pilloried in court, and end up together in a maximum security prison. To clear their names, they'll have to escape and track down the bad guys, including gangster Yves Perret, played by Jack Palance. 

The story is broad and all over the place, and the tone is weirdly slapstick. "Tango & Cash" is as slick as 1980s cop movies come, but its sense of humor is weirdly caustic,...

With an acting career spanning decades — from the Disney era to the Carpenter era to the Tarantino era — Kurt Russell has starred in dozens of movies, playing dozens of different characters. Although Stuntman Mike, Ego, Wyatt Earp, Gabriel Cash, and John “the Hangman” Ruth are all great, Russell’s two most iconic roles, arguably, are Snake Plissken from Escape from New York and Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China.

Sylvester Stallone is getting ready to revisit two more of his iconic classics with a Cobra Reboot and Tango & Cash. The former is confirmed to be in the works, with Robert Rodriguez developing it with Stallone. The latter? That could be a bit more tricky, as Stallone needs his partner in fighting crime Kurt Russell on board as well, but those discussions have been happening.

Rambo: Last Blood hits theaters this weekend and Sylvester Stallone has been making the rounds to promote his latest turn as John Rambo. During a recent interview, he was asked about what other classic characters of his he might be interested in revisiting. At that point, he revealed that a Cobra reboot is being developed as we speak. Just how many giant spider movies will we get before filmmakers realise that None will beat 2000s Spiders, directed by Gary Jones (Mosquito) and starring Lana Parrilla (Once Upon a Time’s Evil Queen), which had a sequel in 2001… This week’s contender for the spider-movie crown is the Italian monster-movie Arachnicide, a title which connotes a much greater movie than this film actually is!

Yes this latest giant spider movie is an Italian horror film, however don’t expect Fulci levels of spider-based gore, this one is sadly a made-for-tv affair directed by Paolo Bertola, who has been working steadily away producing TV movies in Italy for some years. However only his 2011 film My Lai Four has made it to these shores previously, released by Scanbox (remember them?) back in 2011 as Massacre at My Lai Four.

When Kurt Russell stepped into the detective’s uniform for “Dark Blue,” he wasn’t just accepting another movie role. He was taking a stand. He was destroying an image he’d spent two decades building, and turning his back on the American hero audiences had come to recognize at the sight of him.

Becoming a villain sounds kind of heroic, doesn’t it?

“Dark Blue” is one of those low-budget cop dramas you don’t see made at studios anymore. At a reported $15 million, Ron Shelton’s feature couldn’t even make back its budget. First released at an Italian film festival in mid-December 2002, it was dumped in the U.S. during February 2003 for a cumulative worldwide haul of just over $12 million.

Last night, Chris Pratt stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to reveal the new trailer for Marvel's highly-anticipated Phase Two adventure Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which has already been a big hit with fans. On Monday, though, Marvel decided to tease this trailer's arrival with a brief yet bizarre trailer preview, which featured a scene where the rest of the Guardians are grossed out by Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) and his eating habits. Thankfully, director James Gunn revealed on social media that scene isn't actually in the movie.

The preview, which Marvel debuted on Twitter this past Monday, showed Drax and the rest of his crew sitting around a campfire, with Drax slurping and chewing his food quite loudly, which naturally grossed out all of his teammates. In Drax's true oblivious form, he doesn't quite get the hint when Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) subtly suggest...
