Aaron Mirkin is an award-winning queer filmmaker from Toronto. His short films have screened at various international festivals including the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival, Palm Springs ShortFest, Vancouver International Film Festival, Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival and the Hollyshorts Film Festival. He has also directed music videos for the bands Xiu Xiu, Picastro, and Tom Boy.
Additionally, Aaron's work as a picture editor and sound designer has screened at the Berlinale, Toronto International Film Festival, Slamdance, BFI Flare, Festival du Nouveau Cinema, and the Art of the Real, among others.
He is a graduate of Ryerson University and a former resident of Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre.
