Calvin grew up in the small Yorkshire town of Brighouse and spent much
of his childhood watching classic Disney films and cartoons, kindling
his life long love of animation. It was also in childhood that Calvin
learned the basics of stop motion animation, dabbling with the process
until finally being able to turn this hobby into a veritable career
choice by joining the Northern Film School's Film and Moving Image
course. It was at the Northern Film School Calvin wrote, animated and
directed the stop motion film "The Bride of Vernon". As of 2011, Calvin
has now graduated from the Northern Film School.
