Where the Crawdads Sing premiere

The novel adaptation, produced by Reese Witherspoon, premiered at MoMA in NYC on Monday with stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Harris Dickinson and Taylor John Smith.

The Gray Man premiere

Netflix’s high-powered action flick — its biggest budget project ever — was unveiled in Hollywood on Wednesday, alongside stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Regé-Jean Page, Alfre Woodard, Billy Bob Thornton and directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

Rap Sh!t premiere

Issa Rae’s latest project, which follows the rise of two female rappers in Miami, premiered at L.A.’s Hammer Museum on Wednesday with stars KaMillion and Ada Osman.

In today’s TV news roundup, Netflix shared a trailer for the “Pretend It’s a City'” docuseries about Fran Lebowitz, and Starz offered a teaser video for “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.”

Bravo announced plans to bring new series “Below Deck Galley Talk” to television with a 7 p.m. premiere on Jan. 1. The show functions as an extension of “Below Deck” franchise, which includes reality series following young people who are employed on yachts. In the new show, past members of the franchise will watch and comment on new episodes of “Below Deck” while also reminiscing about their own seasons on the show. Such cast members include Alex Radcliffe, Amy Johnson, Anastasia Surmava, Bobby Giancola, Colin Macy O’Toole, Connie Arias, Josiah Carter, Julia d’Albert Pusey, Kate Chastain and Kelley Johnson. Ahead of the show’s premiere, Bravo will also run a “Below Deck” marathon from 10 a.m.

Scott Lewers Upped To Top Post At Science Channel After Marc Etkind’s Exit
Exclusive: Discovery has promoted Scott Lewers to head up Science Channel after Deadline revealed this week that Marc Etkind had left the network.

Lewers has spent the past two years as Evp Multiplatform Content, live production, digital and research teams across Discovery, Science Channel and Animal Planet.

He will now add setting the creative vision for Science Channel to his list of responsibilities, reporting directly to Nancy Daniels, the chief brand officer of Discovery and Factual. He will remain based in Los Angeles.

Discovery talked up the work Lewers has done partnering with online influencers. He is executive producing Revenge Of The Nerd (working title) with YouTube star Mark Rober, while he championed the campaign to plant 20M trees by 2020, led by Rober and fellow YouTuber MrBeast. Lewers also secured TikTok star Nick Uhas to host #TeamPluto, a project on Pluto’s 90th anniversary.

New Discovery Special Examines Pluto’s 2006 Demotion From Planet Status (Exclusive)
Discovery has ordered a mini-documentary special on the dwarf planet Pluto that will take a closer look at the controversy surrounding the former planet and why it was demoted to dwarf status in 2006, TheWrap has learned exclusively.

Called “#TeamPluto,” the special premieres Feb. 18 on the 90th anniversary of the day Pluto was first discovered in 1930.

The special will follow YouTube star and TV host Nick Uhas and his team of astronomers, scientists and historians on their quest to understand what happened to Pluto.

Chipotle Taps David Dobrik, Zach King, Avani Gregg For TikTok Super Bowl Campaign
Chipotle is ticking all the millennial and Gen Z boxes with its Super Bowl ad outing, which will involve a bevvy of TikTok stars including David Dobrik and Addison 'Rae' Easterling, set to the musical stylings of Justin Bieber.

To promote the fact that it will be offering free delivery on Sundays throughout the month of February -- for all orders over $10 -- Chipotle is launching a digital campaign dubbed 'TikTok Timeout'. Creators will be tasked with showcasing their own personal content stylings set to Bieber’s new single, “Yummy.”

Rather than running on TV during the big game, the spots will air on exclusively on TikTok -- but during commercials after team time-outs have been called. (They can also be accessed via the hashtag #TikTokTimeout on Sunday).
