Danish actress and filmmaker Rie Rasmussen has been hired to helm a remake David Cronenberg's 1975 first feature film "Shivers" for Tajj Media and Baker’s Bunk 11.

Ian Driscoll's screenplay updates the story of a parasite outbreak that turns apartment complex residents into sex fiends. The new one will be updated for a "post HIV digital world".

The original film was also called "They Came From Within" in certain countries.

Producers Jeff Sackman and Michael Baker have hired Denmark’s Rie Rasmussen to remake David Cronenberg’s classic first feature, itself the subject of a special screening at Toronto this year.

Sackman’s Tajj Media and Baker’s Bunk 11 will produce while the film’s original executive producer André Link reprises his role.

Casting is underway in time for a February 2014 shoot. Ian Driscoll’s screenplay updates the original storyline about a parasite outbreak that turns apartment complex residents into sex fiends to incorporate the realities of the post-hiv digital world.

Cronenberg, the subject of the retrospective David Cronenberg: Evolution exhibition at Toronto, wrote and directed the original 1975 Shivers, which was known in some countries as They Came From Within.

Montreat, N.C. — George Beverly Shea, whose booming baritone voice echoed through stadiums, squares and souls during a decades-long career with evangelist Billy Graham, died Tuesday. He was 104.

Billy Graham Evangelistic Association spokesman Brent Rinehart said Shea died in Asheville after a brief illness.

Shea's rendition of "How Great Thou Art" came to define the faith of a Protestant generation that Graham helped bring to Jesus Christ. He performed live before an estimated 200 million people at crusades over the years – taking him from North Dakota to North Korea and beyond.

He joined Graham's crusade team in 1947 and stayed until Graham's declining health ended most of the evangelist's public appearances nearly 60 years later.

"As a young man starting my ministry, I asked Bev if he would join me," Graham said then. "He said yes and for over 60 years we had the privilege of ministering together across the country and around the world.
