Discovery Channel has given second-season renewals to Expedition Files, Hustlers Gamblers Crooks, In the Eye of the Storm, The Last Woodsmen, and Mud Madness. All five series are expected to return later this year with new episodes.

“With these five series, Discovery Channel discovered new worlds, offering magnetic characters in epic settings that resonated with viewers,” stated Howard Lee, Chief Creative Officer of US Networks and President of Discovery Networks. “This success reinforces our commitment to finding interesting subcultures and fascinating people who have extraordinary stories to tell.”

The just-renewed series ranked in the top three cable series in their timeslots for men in the 25-54 age group. Expedition Files was Discovery’s biggest ratings earner among the 2024 freshman shows, and all five of the renewed series raked in 8.5+ million viewers.

“In the Eye of the Storm” examines what happens in the epicenter of recent natural disasters, focusing on regular people’s first-hand accounts and using footage from phones and security cameras. The series is produced by Arrow Media.
