- Diti was born on March 31, 1965 in Narayanganj, East Pakistan [now in Narayanganj, Bangladesh]. She was an actress and producer, known for Swami Stree (1987), Papi Shatru (1995) and Bir Bikram (1989). She was married to Sohel Chowdhury and Ilias Kanchan. She died on March 20, 2016 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

- Diti was born as Parveen Sultana on 31st March, 1965 in the historic town of Sonargaon, Narayanganj, a few miles south of capital city Dhaka.
- Her marriage with Sohel Chowdhury ended in divorce shortly before his death. They have two children together, a daughter named Lamia Chowdhury (b.1987) and a son named Dipto Chowdhury (b.1989).
- Finished her high school from Eden College and later obtained her B.A. degree from Lalmatia Women College, Dhaka.
- Ami-e Ustad, a film directed by Ajmal Huda Mithu, was Diti's first film which got a theatrical release.
