She made her debut in Bollywood after winning the coveted title of Miss Universe, and now, after taking a sabbatical from acting for about 3 years, Sushmita Sen is all set to do her first film in her mother tongue Bengali. Known for her style and persona, Sush will be debuting in this language with the film titled Jodi Emon Hoto (What If It Had Happened). Daughter of one of the most renowned directors Basu Chatterjee, Rupali Guha has helmed this film which talks about the equation between a man and a woman. The model turned actress has not only given her nod for it but she has also recently announced that she will be buying the rights of the film and will soon be remaking it in Hindi.

Basu Chatterjee's daughter excited about Bengali directorial debut
Mumbai, Aug 6: Rupali Guha, daughter of veteran filmmaker Basu Chatterjee, has recently directed her first Bengali film "Porichoy", about a father-daughter relationship.

"I recently directed a Bengali film with Prasenjit Chatterjee as well as Mishti, who will also be seen in Subhash Ghai's 'Kaanchi'. This is my first Bengali film and I am excited about it. The story is about a father and daughter relationship and I am really looking forward to it," Rupali told Ians.

The film is slated for Aug end release.

The fact that ther Bengali film industry is prospering, makes Rupali happy.

Mumbai, Jan 28: Mishti, who plays Subhash Ghai's protagonist in "Kanchi", is actually Indrani Chakraborty and she is not the filmmaker's discovery, says Bengali Superstar Prosenjeet Chatterjee.

Mishti, aka Indrani, has just completed a film with Prosenjeet directed by Rupali Guha.
