Star Trek's William Shatner Starred In One Of The Worst Adaptations Of The '90s
Image
William Shatner's "TekWar" was born in the late 1980s on the troubled set of "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier," a film Shatner was directing at the time. According to an article on the Retro Vision Magazine website, there was a lot of downtime on the "Star Trek" set (thanks to a workers' strike), and Shatner's mind began to wander, idly creating a universe built out of his two best-known acting projects: "Star Trek" and "T.J. Hooker." Without (admittedly) putting too much thought into it, Shatner began to write a police story set 200 years in the future. It centered on a cop character named Jake Cardigan and Tek, a super-addictive, technology-based drug that takes the form of a microchip that people use to create dangerous augmented reality experiences. These experiences are so strong that they can potentially destroy your brain.

In the first novel, which was published in 1989 and simply titled "TekWar,...

Image
Released last year, the Fallout live-action series is arguably the best video game adaptation Hollywood has delivered in recent times, and things keep looking up for the series, bearing in mind how it essentially has a long list of plot lines to choose from in the coming seasons.

Fallout’s second season is already on its way, and it has some business to finish over from its first season as well as new things to introduce to the viewers. One of these new elements can be a company that invented the power armor but was dishearteningly involved in some activities that can’t be openly talked about.

Two Former 'Hell's Kitchen' Contestants Claim The Show's Rigged
Image
Your browser does not support the video tag. Contestants on Hell's Kitchen may not have the best experience behind the scenes, with hidden cameras and manipulated scenarios. Former chefs claim show producers set them up to look bad, with edited footage and switched ingredients to create drama. Chefs have found a clever way to mess with producers by singing copyrighted songs to prevent footage usage.

When chefs get chosen to compete in a season of Hell's Kitchen, they have to be overjoyed. After all, they are going to get to cook with Gordon Ramsay, a chef who has prepared food for world leaders and who set a record when he appeared on Hot Ones.

Even though Gordon's daughter has been praised for being kind when she judges other people's food, Hell's Kitchen's chefs are often made to look like fools. According to two former Hell's Kitchen chefs, that is because...

Image
Spoiler Alert! The article contains spoilers for The Boys.

Since 2019, Eric Kripke’s The Boys have been taking jabs at Marvel and DC. The show has featured a sociopath, psychotic version of Superman in Antony Starr’s Homelander, and an unhinged version of Captain America with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, who was America’s Son.

However, the R-rated show is not stopping anytime soon because, in the 5th episode of Season 4, titled Beware the Jabberwock, My Son, Kripke takes a jab at Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.

During the Vought Expo scene, where the Supes were talking about their upcoming film and TV Series, Derek Wilson’s Tek Knight came on the stage, where he decided to satirize DC by targetting Batman and using Nirvana as the point of reference to ridicule the character.

The Boys Season 4, Episode 6 Review: Dirty Business Is Pretty Brilliant
Image
The following contains major spoilers for The Boys Season 4, Episode 6, "Dirty Business," now streaming on Prime Video. It also contains discussion of sexual and violent content, and a mention of abortion.

The Boys Season 4, Episode 6, "Dirty Business" includes another deeply terrifying and disturbing scene -- and it's not the one in the "Tek Cave." The superhero-centric political satire created by Eric Kripke is proving to be frighteningly relevant in ways the producers, directors, actors and other storytellers could've never imagined. Homelander, Sage and Vice President-elect Victoria Neumann are trying to stage a coup, and in Episode 6, they face their biggest obstacle to seizing power: "the one percent of the one percent."

But before getting into that sidebar at the Federalist Society party, "Dirty Business" features an important reveal: Billy Butcher's long-lost friend Joe Kessler is just a vision. All his conversations with his former black ops buddy have been a...

‘The Boys’ Season 4 Episode 6 Recap & Ending Explained: Is Tek Knight Dead Or Alive?
Image
The fifth episode of The Boys Season 4 was essentially divided into three storylines. The first one was taking place at a Comic Con-like event where Vought was unveiling their upcoming slate of movies and TV shows. A-Train was trying to throw Sister Sage off the scent since she had figured out that he was responsible for the leak about the deaths of the Homelander fans. Homelander was turning Ryan into a villain under the garb of making him a hero. And it all ended with the death of Cameron Coleman after Ashley managed to frame him for the aforementioned leak. The second one was centered around the Campbell family, where Hughie and Daphne dealt with the repercussions of injecting Hugh with Compound V, which eventually led to his death. The third one took place at Neuman’s farmhouse, where a mishap gave superpowers to the animals present there. The last...

The Boys: Why Did Tek Knight Need Webweaver As His Sidekick in Season 4? - Main Image

As the Gen V supe tries to make a difference by bringing his powers to The Seven's advantage, Tek Knight surprisingly 'gains' a sidekick in Webweaver in The Boys season 4.

But the question is, why did he specifically need Webweaver as his sidekick? What's the catch?

Content Warning: This article contains spoilers and disturbing topics such as sexual assault from The Boys season 4 episode 6, so proceed with caution.

Tek Knight's Search For a Sidekick is Not What You Think It Is

Tek Knight is supposedly the parody of Bruce Wayne aka Batman, with his previous sidekick, Laddio, meant to be depicted as Robin.

And without a sidekick, Tek Knight was out on a limb searching for a new Supe at his party that he could bring under his wing. In comes Webweaver (a parody...

The Boys’ Tek Knight might have super senses, but to paraphrase Shania Twain, that don’t impress Homelander much.

The Boys' 8 Funniest Marvel & DC Jokes In Season 4, Episode 5
Image
In the latest episode of The Boys season 4, there are several hilarious references to the superhero genre and the film industry. The Tek Knight scene includes a joke about Warner Bros.' constant rebooting of the Batman franchise. Fu Manchu's inclusion in Vought's history is a nod to Marvel's own history of hiding racist characters from its past.

The Boys always takes potshots at Marvel and DC, but season 4, episode 5, Beware the Jabberwock, My Son, takes particularly harsh satirical aim at the comic book giants. While Hughie is trying to control his now-superpowered father and Butcher is dealing with flying bloodthirsty sheep, the supes in The Seven all attend Voughts V52 Expo, The Boys universes version of Disneys D23 event. The purpose of this expo, both the real Disney one and the fictional Vought one, is to reveal the slate of upcoming projects to get fans excited about where...

The Boys Season 4 Showrunner Eric Kripke Explains That Big Gen V Crossover
Image
This article contains spoilers for The Boys season 4 episode 5.

Prime Video’s The Boys always seemed like a prime candidate for spinoffs, which it eventually received in the form of both animated anthology The Boys Presents: Diabolical and college dramedy Gen V. Now these two shows have seeped into the consciousness of The Boys season 4, with the former giving us clues into Billy Butcher’s fate, and the latter building up anticipation for a potential supe-destroying virus that was finally revealed in the latest episode, “Beware the Jabberwock, My Son.”

As the intersection of these three shows starts to become tangible, The Boys creator Eric Kripke hopes that he doesn’t overwhelm fans with too many plot points. He spoke with Den of Geek about his excitement and carefully calculated intentions surrounding The Boys’ expanded world in an exclusive interview.

“It was really fun [seeing the shows intersect],” Kripke says. “I mean, obviously, now...

The Boys Just Debunked The Best Jeffrey Dean Morgan Theory Before Season 4
Image
Jeffrey Dean Morgan's role in The Boys season 4 has been kept under wraps, but he won't be playing Tek-Knight as previously speculated. Morgan could possibly portray Malchemical or John Godolkin, both fitting his acting style and the tone of the show. There's also the possibility that Morgan's character is completely new to The Boys universe, offering endless opportunities for his storyline.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is joining the cast of The Boys in season 4, but the series just debunked the most believable fan theory about which character he's playing. Morgan has hyped his role in The Boys since his casting was announced, but the actor has yet to reveal specific details about his part in the upcoming season. There are plenty of characters from The Boys comics who have yet to make an appearance in the Prime Video adaptation. Supes like Groundhawk and Oh Father still need to make their live-action debuts.
