A unique take on Mary Shelley's writing of her masterpiece Frankenstein, Nora Unkel's A Nightmare Wakes has been acquired by Shudder and will be released on the streaming service beginning February 4th.

Frontières, the Fantasia International Film Festival’s annual film co-production market, has announced its first wave of projects for the ninth edition, which takes place from July 20 to July 23 in Montreal. Among the projects that will participate in the co-production market is the zombie film “George A. Romero Presents: Road of the Dead.” The project was written by Romero and Matt Birman, who is attached to direct.

“Road of the Dead” is the next zombie film following Romero’s last three movies as a director: “Survival of the Dead,” “Diary of the Dead” and “Land of the Dead.” Birman served as second unit director on all three movies, and has worked as a stunt coordinator and stuntman for more than three decades.

“Road of the Dead” originated as an original pitch from Birman roughly 10 years ago.

Devin Shepherd had been using his aggressive personality, and imposing physique, to dominate the game since virtually the beginning. And to his credit, he continued to control the game even as he was blowing it up. Earlier tonight, Big Brother 16 finally premiered the very first episode of the season. It kicked off with the usual introduction of the houseguests, but with a twists as we only got to see the first 8 houseguests in action. Yesterday, the peeps over at CBS finally delivered up the photos and intel of who in the hell we'll be seeing enter the Big Brother season 16 house. I also took a look at all the video introductions, and they did get some interesting people. Zach is cocky as hell and has sort of a Dr. Will charisma about him. Then there's a Gina Marie 2.0 chick in there, named Paola Shea. She's actually friends with Gina Marie, and their vibes are so similar it's uncanny.
