Born on February 14th, in Westminster, Colorado, to Catherine Marie Bertles and Mohammed Charafi, Joseph's early years were in Thornton, Colorado. By age 5, he and his mother made the move to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was in a Magnet Middle school K.O. Knudson, in Vegas that he was introduced to video production, sparking a lifelong passion. Although high school saw him drift towards sports, an unfortunate knee injury dashed his hopes of a college sports scholarship. Undeterred by challenges, including those posed by his high school peers, Joseph showcased resilience by graduating ahead of his cohort.
He began his higher education journey at The Art Institute of Las Vegas and, after some time, transferred to The Art Institute of Colorado. Now, with over 15 years in the entertainment industry, Joseph is back in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he is carving a name for himself by directing, writing, and producing short films, features and TV series.
