Charu Asopa to join 'Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Ayae' cast

Mumbai, Feb 25 (Ians) Television star Charu Asopa will soon join the show, Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Ayae as Zorba Bai, who is invited to dance on a special occasion at Baigh house.

Charu is a trained classical dancer and says that one of the reasons she agreed to be part of the show was she would get a scope to dance.

"The major reason I picked up this role is that I have never played a dancer in any of my shows, whereas in reality I am a trained Khatak dancer. Though my dancing skills have always helped me a lot, this time I am more excited that finally I will essay a role whose main forte is dancing," she says.

Kanika Maheshwari will be collaborating with producers Shashi and Sunit Mittal for the third time after three years break, for their show ‘Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye’ on Sony TV.

Kanika will be seen in a different avatar where she will portray the role of a widow with bare minimum makeup. From learning Punjabi to watching Punjabi & pre-independence films the actress is leaving no stone unturned in preparations for the character.

The actress who’s won several awards for her portrayal of Meenakshi in ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ speaks to us about being particular about choosing her roles. “I’ve been very particular about choosing my roles as it is a big responsibility to play the part and simultaneously do justice to the character.”

Mumbai, Dec 16: TV actress Kanika Maheshwari, who is married to businessman Ankur Ghai, is having a tough time managing between the schedules of "Nach Baliye 6" and "Diya aur Baati Hum."

"Reality shows are real and we have to prepare our act in five days. It is very tough, I shoot 'Diya aur Baati Hum' also. So for me to give 12 hours to that, then the performance and also give time to him (husband Ankur Ghai) is making things really tough," Kanika said in an interview.

Apart from a tough hectic schedule, Kanika find all other pairs on the reality show very inspiring.
