The celebrated independent film festival Dances With Films (Dwf) revealed earlier today that it would be heading to New York City in December. With over a quarter century spent celebrating indie filmmakers and their creative output in Los Angeles, the festival is ready to embrace East Coast film lovers at Dwf: NYC for its 26th anniversary. For the first time in its history, Dwf will showcase its selection of diverse and powerful feature-length narratives, documentaries, and shorts at Regal Union Square.
Beau The Musical kicks off the Dances With Film New York festivities, which will set the tone for a joyous event that strives to not only champion independent filmmakers but also give them the tools and industry connections needed to thrive. Many Dwf alumni have gone on to write, produce, and direct mainstream movies and hit television series, and some of them have even gone on to receive Academy Awards recognition.
