Married At First Sight Season 17 Set Season 18 Up For Failure (How The Season 18 Couples Are Doomed)
Image
Married at First Sight season 17 was such a blunder on the franchise that it has rippling effects on season 18 and the couples' potential for success. Married at First Sight season 18 premiered on October 15, 2024, and has three episodes out currently. There was also a "Matchmaking Special" and a "Kickoff Special" that gave more insight into the quality of the cast and the viability of the matches paired by the panel of experts. The Married at First Sight's experts, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Cal Roberson, and Dr. Pia Holec, are returning for a fourth season together.

The experts are tasked with making the right matches and guiding the couples through the eight-week-long process. So far, all of the season 18 couples have got married to a stranger sight unseen at the altar. In Married at First Sight season 17, one pairing didn't even make it that far. While that might be a good sign for season 18's couples,...

I'm Certain Married At First Sight Season 18 Won't Be Well Received (What Is The Show's Future?)
Image
Married at First Sight fans are seriously hoping that season 18 will be entertaining, but I'm certain it will be a letdown and viewers will be upset. Married at First Sight season 17 ended in late April 2024. It began in mid-October 2023, making it the longest season in Married at First Sight history. Since it ended, fans have had to endure an almost 6-month-long hiatus of the show, with some spoilers about season 18 available in between. Season 17 saw six couples show up to the altar, with only 5 of them getting married.

Married at First Sight premiered in 2014. The first 7 seasons highlighted the marriage journeys of three couples, while seasons 8 and 9 had four couples, and every season that has come after that has featured five couples getting married. Looking ahead to season 18, it looks like all five of the couples say I do. However, in my vast experience with the show, that doesn't usually mean much.

Married At First Sight Season 18 Can Save The Franchise (Signs It Will Surpass Expectations)
Image
Married at First Sight season 18 will premiere soon, and there are indications that it will be a positive season for the franchise's credibility and surpass expectations. Married at First Sight season 17 ended in April 2024, leaving fans with an almost six-month hiatus in between installments. Historically, the Mafs franchise has left long hiatuses in between seasons, although this one was one of the longest. The hit Lifetime reality show debuted in 2014 and, given that it has 17 complete seasons behind it, there have been roughly two seasons in a year in the past.

A lot has changed with the show's format over the years, including the decision to increase the number of couples featured from 3 to 4, and then up to five starting in season 10. Also, the couples did not usually co-mingle during the honeymoon or after, and the couples used to choose their living space together after the honeymoon, whereas now, the...

Married At First Sight Season 18 Premiere Date Announced
Image
After a rumored date recently made its way across the Internet, Lifetime has now officially announced the Married At First Sight season 18 premiere date. Married At First Sight season 17 ended in disaster, as all five couples got divorced. Becca Haley and Austin Reed initially affirmed their commitment to each other on Decision Day, but then they split up amid accusations that he lied to her. Michael Shiakallis wanted to remain married to Chloe Brown, but the latter rejected him on Decision Day.

Married At First Sight season 18 is set to premiere on October 15 at 8 p.m. Edt, according to a press release from Lifetime. The new season will feature 10 singles who will attempt to meet and get married to their new spouses, who are complete strangers. Decision Day will be hugely important when the couples face the all-important moment of reckoning as they decide whether they want to stay...

Married At First Sight Season 18 Will Not Save The Franchise (Signs It Will Be A Letdown)
Image
Mafs seasons have low success rates due to poor matchmaking choices by the experts. Only 12 out of 64 couples are still together today. The current experts lack skills in matchmaking, causing problems in marriages. Viewers are skeptical if season 18 will be successful. Season 18 of Mafs is crucial for the franchise's future, but red flags point to another disappointing season. Fans hope for better entertainment.

Married at First Sight season 18 has a critical role in helping to save the franchise after years of lackluster seasons, but it looks like it will be a letdown too. Married at First Sight season 17 started airing in mid-October 2023 and ended in late April, making the season more than six months long. It was a historic season for two reasons. The first being that there was a first in Married at First Sight history when groom Michael Shiakallis' mystery bride ditched him at the altar and became the first runaway bride.

Which Married At First Sight Season 17 Cast Members Are Still Causing Controversy?
Image
Mafs Season 17 had cast drama with attempted group deception leading to contention. Emily continues to stir up conflict and resentment post-show with her online behavior. Orion faced backlash from fans after posting about using illegal fireworks, causing upset.

There are still several Married at First Sight season 17 cast members that are being controversial after the season. Married at First Sight season 17 was the longest season in the franchise yet. It began in mid-October 2023 and ended in late April 2024. The longevity of the season had to do with a Mafs first, in which cast member Michael Shiakallis was faced with a runaway bride at the altar. After consideration, Michael agreed to be rematched by the Mafs experts, and he went on to marry Chloe Brown.

However, Michael and Chloe got married after the other couples were already halfway through the eight-week journey to Decision Day. This meant that once all the...

Married At First Sight: What The Experts Need To Do Differently In Season 18 (Fans Want Successful Couples)
Image
The Mafs experts must establish themselves as friendly authority figures for participants in season 18. Dr. Pia should soften her approach with more professionalism to avoid upsetting the participants. The experts need to step into the marriages to provide more help at the first signs of trouble in order to prevent unresolved issues.

There are several key things the Married at First Sight experts need to do differently in season 18 in order to give fans the successful couples they want to see. In the last three seasons, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Cal Roberson, and Dr. Pia Holec have been the panel of experts tasked with not only matching the marriage hopefuls but also guiding them through the eight-week-long journey to Decision Day. Dr. Pepper has been an expert since season 1, while Pastor Cal joined in season 4 and Dr. Pia joined in season 15.

In the seventeen seasons of Married at First Sight,...

I Think Married At First Sight Season 18 Could Be The Worst Season Yet
Image
Mafs has hit a low point, with only 1 successful couple in 5 seasons. Season 17's drama has eroded trust in the show and caused viewer skepticism. Season 18's trailer hints at potential drama similar to its predecessor.

Married At First Sight has had a run of seasons that have viewers questioning whether or not they want to continue watching the show, but I think Married At First Sight season 18 may be the worst of them all. Throughout the last few years, Mafs has been one of the least successful dating shows on reality TV. With only one couple having stayed together successfully in the last five seasons, the metrics of Married At First Sight marriages succeeding have been inordinately low. The drama of the show, alternately, has been at an all-time high throughout the recent seasons.

While the drama from Married At First Sight season 17 has been some of the most...

Mafs fans can’t get enough of Chloe and Michael as the exes talk ‘forest bathing’
Image
Michael Shiakallis and Chloe Brown gave Married at First Sight fans a treat when they recently linked up for a live chat.

However, their obvious chemistry has people begging the couple to get back together.

Viewers have been singing that tune since the pair parted ways on Decision Day, but Chloe has already affirmed that Michael chose to get a divorce, so there won’t be any second chances.

It was rocky between the pair, after Michael’s shocking choice to end the marriage, but they’ve since formed a close bond after hashing out their issues.

That close relationship gives fans of the show hope that the two will one day be reconciled, and their recent video only adds fuel to the fire.

In a clip from their Instagram Live, the nature-loving Chloe had a chat with Michael about forest bathing, but their cute banter has reignited those reconciliation rumors once again.

Why Is There a Hiatus Between Married at First Sight Seasons 17 & 18 (& How Long Will It Be?)
Image
Mafs season 17 was a failure, with all couples divorcing. Fans eagerly await the next season after a disappointing hiatus. Married at First Sight traditionally has 2-4 month hiatuses between seasons, leaving fans frustrated and anticipating the next season drop. While hiatuses are normal for Mafs, other reality TV shows operate on different schedules, leading to varied wait times for new seasons.

Married at First Sight fans are having to wait between seasons 17 and 18, but why is that, and how long will the wait be? Married at First Sight first premiered in 2014 and showcased three couples who were matched together by a panel of expert therapists. The show highlighted three couples per season until season 8. Seasons 8 and 9 each had four couples, and the norm thereafter has been to have five couples matched every season. In the decade that Lifetime has aired the hit reality romance show, 64 couples have been paired together by the experts.

Married At First Sight: Emily Balch's After Party Behavior Has Been Troubling (Is She As Nice & Positive As She Says?
Image
Emily's positive portrayal on the show contrasts with her aggressive behavior on the Afterparty. Emily snapped at host Keisha Knight Pulliam during a conversation about couple's therapy. Emily attacked Austin for his lack of intimacy with his wife, damaging her fun-loving image.

As Married At First Sight season 17 draws to a close and Decision Day nears, Emily Balch is receiving criticism for her aggressive behavior on Married At First Sight: The Afterparty. The long-running matchmaking series doesn't have a good track record of pairing lasting couples, and Emily and her husband, Brennan Shoykhet, are no exception. Since premiering in 2014, the show has been marrying strangers paired together by relationship experts who take the participants' lives and personal traits into consideration. Though the show has had some success stories, the couples usually break up.

Emily and Brennan, one of the couples set up by the Married At First Sight relationship experts,...

Married At First Sight: The Real Reason Cameron Frazer & Clare Kerr Aren't Compatible
Image
Cameron & Clare had one of the shortest marriages in Mafs season 17, but not the shortest. The remaining couples heading towards Decision Day are struggling, showing a lack of compatibility. Clare has been reaching out to Cameron, but his refusal to let her in highlights their differences.

Married At First Sight season 17 is almost over, but Cameron Frazer and Clare Kerr's marriage ended long ago, due to a lack of compatibility. Relationship experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Calvin "Cal" Roberson, and Dr. Pia Holec matched a total of six couples this season. However, three of the couples have already broken up, leaving only three married couples left heading towards Decision Day. None of the remaining couples appear to be on track for a happy ending.

The long-running dating series doesn't have a good track record. Since premiering in 2014, the show has been marrying strangers paired together by the relationship experts...

Mafs alum Ashley Petta doubtful about Chloe: ‘I’m not buying anything she says’
Image
Married at First Sight fans are all on the same page about new bride Chloe Brown, and they’re not buying what she’s selling.

Some viewers recently reasoned that the brunette beauty is a paid actor – brought in after the experts majorly messed with the runaway bride fiasco.

However, while she might not be a paid actor, many people are convinced she’s faking it for the cameras.

One such person is Mafs alum Ashley Petta, who recently posted a comment about Chloe on social media.

The outspoken Season 5 alum confessed, “I’m not buying anything she says,” in reaction to a clip of Chloe and Michael.

Not surprisingly, several people took to the comments to agree with Ashley after watching her interaction with Michael this season.

Married At First Sight: 8 Major Mistakes The Season 17 Couples Are Making
Image
Clare and Cameron didn't give their marriage a fair chance, giving up too quickly when faced with challenges and failing to communicate effectively. Lauren and Orion's relationship suffered due to their poor communication skills and inability to meet each other's needs. Becca's disregard for Austin's boundaries regarding physical intimacy has caused significant strain in their marriage.

Married at First Sight season 17 has been very rocky, and the cast members have been making some major mistakes in their new marriages to strangers. Season 17 has been historic because of its low couples success rate, even by the halfway mark of the season. By the one-month anniversaries, Michael Shiakallis got ditched at the altar by the first bride the Married at First Sight experts picked in a franchise first. Orion Martzloff asked for a divorce from Lauren Goodger upon returning from the honeymoon. Adding to that, Cameron Frazer and Clare Kerr got a separation one month in.

Married at First Sight: What Chloe Brown's Shocking Revelations On The Show Say About Her
Image
Chloe and Michael have joined the other couples on a retreat, where they hope to bond and strengthen their relationship. Chloe opened up about her party girl past, surprising Michael, but they both prioritize communication and are committed to making their marriage work. While they may not end up together, Michael and Chloe have a strong chance of staying together if they continue to communicate and accept each other.

Married At First Sight season 17 had a historic first when Chloe Brown was brought in to marry Michael Shiakallis after he was left at the altar in the season premiere, but what do Chloe’s shocking revelations at the couples’ retreat say about her as a whole? Michael, who was left at the altar in the Married At First Sight season 17 premiere by an undisclosed bride, was someone the experts were hopeful about in the beginning of the season. After the...

Married At First Sight Season 17: Chloe Brown Has These Icks About Michael Shiakallis (Can She Get Over Them?)
Image
Michael's bold and edgy style clashes with Chloe's conservative fashion choices, causing tension in their marriage. #FashionConflict Chloe has second thoughts about her marriage with Michael, but he is a good and honorable man who makes her feel safe and seen. #GiveHimAChance Michael and Chloe share important values, such as their love for animals and their mutual agreement on a child-free life. #CommonGround

After being left at the altar on Married At First Sight season 17, Michael Shiakallis was matched with a new bride, Chloe Brown, but there are signs that he is giving her the icks. Married At First Sight season 17 featured a runaway bride for the first time in the history of the series. Image
Married At First Sight season 17 has already aired several episodes, indicating that there will be several more months of content before the finale, which will likely air in April 2024. The exact episode count for this season is unknown, but previous seasons have ranged from 17 to 25 episodes. If the trend continues, there will be approximately 20 episodes of Married At First Sight season 17 remaining. As the couples in season 17 continue to build their relationships and navigate the challenges of finding true love, viewers can expect an interesting mix of emotions and compelling storylines.
