Stories of Anurag Basu directing a Kishore Kumar biopic with Aamir Khan in the lead are absolutely false and misleading.

Basu’s attempts to film Kishore Kumar’s life date back to 2013 when, after Barfi, the director wanted to make two back-to-back biopics on mathematician Anand Kumar and singer-actor Kishore Kumar with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead – neither fructified. The Anand Kumar biopic was eventually made by Vikas Bahl, with Hrithik Roshan as the lead.

As for the Kishore Kumar film, it remains stuck in the middle of nowhere. Kishore Kumar’s family has the rights to the biopic. His son Amit Kumar has declared repeatedly that the family would make the film on Kishore Kumar. So far, nothing has happened.

Mumbai, July 12 (Ians) As his film ‘Super 30’ clocked four years in Hindi cinema on Wednesday, actor Hrithik Roshan took to social media to share a thoughtful note.

Released in 2019, ‘Super 30’ is a biographical drama based on the life of a mathematics teacher and his educational programme of the same name, it is directed by Vikas Bahl and stars Hrithik Roshan as Anand Kumar.

Hrithik shared throwback pictures from the film on his social media saying: “Some films leave a deep imprint as an actor and collaborator. Super 30 for me is an experience lived, one I will forever cherish.”

Hyderabad, Oct 10 (Ians) Indian Immunologicals Ltd (Iil) on Monday announced that it will invest Rs 700 crore to set up a new animal vaccine manufacturing facility in Genome Valley, Hyderabad.

The company said the facility would help meet the vaccine security of the nation against economically important diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease (Fmd) and other emerging diseases. The facility will create total employment for around 750 people.

Iil, a subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (Nddb), is already one of the largest manufacturers of Fmd vaccine in the world and is the leading supplier of Fmd vaccine to the government’s National Animal Disease Control Programme (Nadcp).

It is investing in a new greenfield project for the establishment of a Veterinary Vaccine Facility for manufacturing of Fmd and other animal vaccines. The facility is intended to be a state-of-art fully integrated biosafety level 3 (Bsl-3) for Drug Substance (DS) production and respective fill-finish.

New Delhi, Aug 23 (Ians) The Sports Ministry is funding Olympic bronze medallist Bajrang Punia and Cwg gold winner Deepak Punia’s 19 days travel-and-training plan in Michigan, USA ahead of the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia next month.

The international training has been cleared under the Ministry’s Target Olympic Podium Scheme (Tops) with Deepak and Bajrang set to fly out to Michigan on Tuesday.

Bajrang and Deepak are accompanied by coach Sujeet Mann, and physiotherapist Anand Kumar who will join them in a few days.

The duo will train at US’s Michigan University under the University’s head coach Sean Bormet who in the past has trained Olympic bronze medallist Myles Amine (86kg), Olympian Stevan Micic (57kg), Olympian Andy Hrovat (84kg) among many top athletes of the country.
