Jeremy Jordan delivered a spectacular performance during the 2025 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 8) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The 40-year-old actor was joined by the Floyd Collins company to give a preview of their Best Revival of a Musical-nominated show.

Among the cast joining Jeremy for the performance were Taylor Trensch, Cole Vaughan, Jason Gotay, Lizzy McAlpine, Jeremy Davis, Charlie Franklin, Jessica Molaskey, Kevyn Morrow, Wade McCollum, Clyde Voce, Zak Resnick, Marc Kudisch and Sean Allan Krill.

Floyd Collins was nominated for several awards this year, including Best Actor for Jeremy, Best Featured Actor for Taylor, Best Orchestrations, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design, but unfortunately, did not pick up any wins.

Standby Zak Resnick will be going as the title role in Floyd Collins on Broadway, for performances this upcoming Sunday and Tuesday. Jeremy Jordan will be out of the show. Floyd Collins is currently playing at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. The musical is based on the true story of a cave explorer in Kentucky, 1925. While chasing a dream of fame and fortune by turning Sand Cave into a tourist attraction, Floyd Collins himself becomes the attraction when he gets trapped 200 feet underground. Lincoln Center Theater’s upcoming Broadway production of Adam Guettel beloved cult musical Floyd Collins will star Jeremy Jordan in the title role, producers announced today, confirming a rumor that’s been buzzing through New York’s theater community for weeks.

Talk of Jordan’s involvement spiked Tuesday when producers of Broadway’s The Great Gatsby announced that actor Ryan McCartan would soon be taking over the lead role of that musical from the exiting Jordan.

The Lct production, which begins previews at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on Thursday, March 27, 2025, and opens on Monday, April 21, will also feature Jason Gotay as Homer Collins, Sean Allan Krill as H.T. Jeremy Jordan will star in the Broadway premiere of Floyd Collins this spring. 

Jordan, who is currently starring in The Great Gatsby on Broadway, with other credits including Newsies and Smash, will lead a cast that includes Jason Gotay as Homer Collins, Sean Allan Krill as H.T. Carmichael, Marc Kudisch as Lee Collins, Lizzy McAlpine as Nellie Collins, Wade McCollum as Bee Doyle, Jessica Molaskey as Miss Jane, Taylor Trensch as Skeets Miller and Cole Vaughan as Jewell Estes.
