Netflix has revealed the release date and a teaser trailer for ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.’

The third instalment in the murder mystery franchise, which stars Daniel Craig in the role of celebrated Southern detective Benoit Blanc, will premiere on December 12 on Netflix.

The plot for the film so far has been kept a mystery, but the synopsis reads Benoit Blanc returns in his most dangerous case yet.

Written and directed by franchise creator Rian Johnson, the cast includes Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, Cailee Spaeny, Josh O’Connor, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Thomas Haden Church, Daryl McCormack, Annie Hamilton, Kerry Frances and Marcus Edward Bond. Brolin and O’Connor will both play priests, with Kunis portraying a police chief known as G. Scott.

Netflix has unveiled the release date and a teaser trailer for “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.” The film marks the third iteration in the murder mystery franchise, which stars Daniel Craig in the role of celebrated Southern detective Benoit Blanc. In the teaser, Daniel Craig says ominously “The impossible crime,” as dramatic scenes of a church are shown.

Netflix has released the first official teaser for Wake Up Dead Man, the third installment in Rian Johnson’s whodunnit mystery series. Things have been eerily silent on the Knives Out front since a new image of Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc was released earlier this year. This teaser may be brief, but it could mean that marketing for Wake Up Dead Man is about to ramp up. Netflix has yet to announce an official release date for the film, but both previous Knives Out movies were released during the holiday season, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Wake Up Dead Man be assigned a release date between October and December, similar to its predecessors. Knives Out 3 wrapped filming last August, as confirmed by Johnson on his personal Instagram, so the film should be nearing the final stages of post-production.
