Blizzard Entertainment is having a lot to celebrate lately, and Overwatch 2 is celebrating with a month of special events, returning game modes, free rewards, and more. In honor of World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, an impressive crossover event is coming to Overwatch 2, including special legendary skins for some of the popular characters. Additionally, Overwatch 2 is also having an anniversary to celebrate, with even more events coming to the game with past fan-favorite game modes rotating weekly for a month.
Celebrating 20 years of World of Warcraft is a pretty big deal, and as the most well known Mmorpg, it is no surprise that other games from the same company will hop into the party. The first-person shooter, Overwatch 2, will be spreading some of the excitement to its players with several special challenges that provide free in-game World of Warcraft-themed rewards, as well as some new character skins available in the shop.

Lamorne Morris has won the Emmy for best supporting actor in a limited series for his role in Fargo. This marks the first Emmy nomination and win for the actor, who rose to fame with his comedic role in New Girl.
While accepting his award for his performance as Deputy Witt Farr, Morris was incredulous at his major milestone. “Oh my gosh! Oh wow!,” he exclaimed. He began his speech by thanking God for “allowing me to be here.”
Morris, who is mostly known for his comedic work, brought humor to his speech. “I also want to thank God for my beautiful mother, who raised me,” he said. “She’s been my biggest champion ever since I…you know, came out…you know, I dropped out of her butt. I know where babies come from!”
Morris also gave a shoutout to his “beautiful daughter,” Lily, “I love you. I told you I would do it.

"Six women go spelunking" doesn't necessarily read as a great logline for a horror movie, but Neil Marshall's "The Descent" takes that premise and crafts an unforgettable exercise in terror. As the saying goes, it's a B-movie with A+ filmmaking.
Being trapped underground combines two common fears, confinement and darkness, and in "The Descent," the heavy shadows only reinforce the claustrophobia. Marshall and his cinematographer Sam McCurdy chose to light the film's sets (a facsimile of a real cave system built and shot at Pinewood Studios) primarily with the characters' flashlights. Even color choices — some frames are filtered entirely red or green — are used diegetically from those lights or flares.
As the characters get deeper and deeper into the cave, darkness subsumes each and every frame. It needs to, for the whole reason a cave is a scary setting is because of what you can't see. And yet, Marshall...

Willem Dafoe's character in Beetlejuice 2 is a B-movie action star turned afterlife detective. Dafoe's character appears to be replacing Beetlejuice's Juno as the primary afterlife civil servant in the sequel. Since Dafoe's character seemingly didn't die by suicide, his role raises questions about civil servants and the ghost profession rules in Beetlejuice 2.
Willem Dafoe has recently revealed details about his new Beetlejuice 2 character, who appears to be the replacement for a beloved ghost from the original movie. While Beetlejuice 2’s cast is bringing back a few original actors to reprise their roles, including Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, and Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz, Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel is introducing a slew of new living and deceased characters alike after 36 years. Animation! has announced the winners of its 2024 Mentorship Program designed specifically for Latin American female animation directors.
No one country was singled out, as projects from five countries took the honors.
“The global convergence of creativity in this year’s selection truly signifies the universal language of animated storytelling,” said Animation! manager Silvina Cornillón. “From the vibrant 3D animation of ‘Jaé, Natal! capturing the spirit of a tropical Christmas in Brazil to the enchanting 2D adventures of ‘Juno, Diario de una Bicicleta in Peru, each project brings a unique flavor to the world of animation.”
She added: “’La Tierra Prometida’ (‘The Promised Land’) from Argentina explores environmental themes through stop motion, while ‘Los Tesoros De Marta’ from Mexico, blending hybrid animation techniques, promises a delightful mix of fantasy and comedy.”

“I mean, who are we kidding?”
Such beaming came from Fargo creator Noah Hawley at the fifth season premiere of the FX series when we asked him if more seasons are in store beyond season 5 which debuts on Nov. 21.
Indeed, they are.
“I’d be lying if I said this is not the most fun I have in my year making this show,” Hawley said.
“I haven’t run out of ways to tell these stories,” the creator of the six Primetime Emmy winning series told us last night, “Why wouldn’t I keep going?”
EP Steve Stark concurs with Hawley that there’s more to mayhem to explore in Minnesota. “We’ve covered every decade except the ’60s and the ’90s. So maybe the 60s and 90s,” he told Deadline.
Hawley also adds that “the ’80s” are possibility.
“We’ll do our Stranger Things crossover,” he joked.

Barbie.Michael Cera plays Allan, a milquetoast companion to Ryan Gosling’s Ken, in the recent billion-dollar blockbuster Barbie (2023). The film’s narrator, Helen Mirren, introduces Allan by stating he is “unique” and noting “there are no multiples of him.” The same could be said of the actor behind the mild-mannered doll. Cera’s status as a sometimes endearing, sometimes discomforting, but always awkward screen presence has made him a fixture of commercial cinema ever since his famed turn as a sexually naïve cross-country star in Jason Reitman’s teenage pregnancy drama Juno (2007). Sixteen years later, Cera’s complexion remains the same. Except, his baby face no longer represents innocence and childish sentimentalism. His recent credits have skewed toward portrayals of frustrated men, revealing unforeseen dimensions of his previously exhibited acting chops.Cera’s rise to stardom in the mid-'00s coincided with the release of films such as Napoleon Dynamite...

When "Jennifer's Body" came out in 2009, people kind of hated it. Or at least, that's how it seemed. What was this campy and over-sexualized story about a teenage girl who eats human boys? The film received mixed reviews with most of them falling into the "this is terrible" camp, and even though Roger Ebert gave the movie three out of four stars, he still referred to the whole thing as "'Twilight' for boys" which, honestly, feels like he missed the whole point.
"Jennifer's Body" is most definitely not "Twilight" and most definitely not "for boys." Instead, it's a smart exploration of the ways men use women in order to reach the peak of success. Directed by Karyn Kusama, the movie stars Megan Fox as Jennifer Check, the super hot teen girl who is predictably a cheerleader and unpredictably best friends with Needy Lesnicki. Played by Amanda Seyfried, Needy...

Beetlejuice introduced the audience to the title character, a mischievous ghost who creates chaos in both the afterlife and the world of the living, but one wild theory suggests that Beetlejuice wasn’t dead throughout most of the movie. Tim Burton has shared his unique vision of horror and comedy in a variety of movies since the 1980s, and one of his most popular and beloved works is the horror comedy Beetlejuice, starring Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, and Michael Keaton.
Beetlejuice follows young couple Barbara (Davis) and Adam Maitland (Baldwin), who on their way back to their country home get into an accident and die… but they don’t know that they did. The Maitlands’ house is later purchased by the Deetz family, but as the Maitlands can’t leave the house for the next 125 years, it’s up to them to get rid of the Deetz – however,...

Madonna has canceled her biopic for the time being, and it's a good thing for how Madonna's story should be told. Madonna's biopic was highly anticipated, especially with the Queen of Pop being heavily involved in its production and multiple scripts being written to ensure Madonna's life was portrayed to its full potential. However, despite being on track for release, Madonna has shelved the biopic due to her upcoming world tour, which she would rather focus on, though she hopes to rerelease a biopic in the future.
Madonna's biopic was announced in 2020, and since then, had cast Julia Garner to star as Madonna from her early years. This was after news that Florence Pugh, Alexa Demie, Odessa Young, and Bebe Rexha were all competing for the part, enduring intense auditions, which were 11-hour boot camps. Most recently, Madonna was fictitiously Weird Al's girlfriend in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,...

Some of Hollywood's most in-demand actresses may have gone through Madonna boot camp for nothing: Variety is now reporting that the (auto)biopic about the famed singer, which Madonna Ciccone planned to direct herself, is no longer in the works.
"Ozark" star and award season darling Julia Garner was reportedly set to lead the film about the early days of the "Like a Prayer" singer's career, but multiple sources are now saying that the film is no more. Universal Pictures and reps for Madonna and Garner wouldn't comment, per Variety.
If the Madonna film is being shelved, it's a pretty confounding decision given its long and, for those who auditioned, apparently arduous path to production. Last June, Garner was announced as the film's lead, and the news was met with a sort of Hunger Games champion-level intrigue after The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the months-long audition process reportedly involved 11-hour choreography training sessions,...

Beetlejuice is an annual staple autumn movie staple in most households, and now, more speculation has been sparked about a potential sequel, as there are rumors that Johnny Depp will star in Beetlejuice 2. The follow-up would satisfy so many fans of the original, but as is the case with all great films, the cult classic still has a pocket of armchair critics who couldn't care less about a sequel.
The 1988 film might be one of the most original horror comedies ever made, but some Redditors have been quick to tear the narrative apart. Between arguing that it's no different from any other Tim Burton movie and that it'd be better if Beetlejuice wasn't even in it, not everyone is excited for Beetlejuice 2.
