Netflix announced that Love Is Blind: Italy, an adaptation of the original Love Is Blind, is coming. This new addition will become part of the Love Is Blind franchise, joining other countries such as the UK, Habibi, Germany, Sweden, Argentina, Japan and Brazil. The American version premiered in 2020 and has become one of the most successful dating experiments, with over seven seasons available for streaming on Netflix. Love Is Blind US has been so good that it was renewed for season 8, and it's expected to debut in February 2025.

Love Is Blind: Italy will still follow the same format as the original show. Singles from Italy will meet and interact in the pods without outside interaction. They will later get engaged and meet for the first time before facing the real-world realities of trial marriages, including resistance from friends and family. If their connection is strong enough, Love Is Blind: Italy couples will exchange their vows.

After several successful seasons, Love Is Blind is opening the pods in a new country for the very first time. Now, viewers officially get to see the experiment take place in Argentina, where hopeful singles try their luck at finding their perfect match.

Love Is Blind: Argentina is the latest international edition of Love Is Blind that is set to premiere sometime in November. As Love Is Blind season 7 wraps up, Netflix will debut its latest international edition of this social experiment with a fresh cast from the Latin American country ready to give love a try. There have been many successful global editions of the show, including Love Is Blind: Habibi, which premiered on October 10, 2024, bringing forth some of the most dramatic cast members. Other international editions of Love Is Blind include, Love Is Blind: UK, Sweden, Brazil, and Japan.

Love Is Blind: Argentina promises drama and exciting moments between cast members. It will have a format similar to the American version of Love Is Blind, where people will meet and interact in the pods before getting engaged. This will be the third edition of a Latin American spin-off of the reality show.

Netflix has unveiled a deep slate of originals out of Argentina including an animated adaptation of iconic comic strip Mafalda from Oscar-winning director Juan José Campanella. Another adaptation is El Eternauta, based on the graphic novel of the same name. There will also be a local version of dating series Love is Blind and a three-part doc about Argentine soccer star Ángel Di María.

The streamer’s Made In Argentina slate was presented at an event in Buenos Aires and comprised a whopping 19 projects. The standout titles included Mafalda, which has iconic status in Argentina where it ran as a comic strip in various newspapers. Created by cartoonist Quino, it follows the titular little girl and her family and friends.

Campanella, who helmed the Oscar-winning The Secret In Their Eyes (Best Foreign Language Film), will be director, screenwriter and showrunner. Mundoloco CGI, the animation studio he co-founded, is producing the series.

Buenos Aires – Mafalda, the beloved and wily six-year-old drawn into acclaim by celebrated Argentine artist Quino, will bring her socially-conscious hijinks to the screen. News of the adaptation, which will be ushered in by Oscar-winner Juan José Campanella, was announced Monday evening as Netflix unveiled their 2024 ‘Made in Argentina’ slate to a spirited crowd of industry and media professionals.

Campanella will direct, produce and showrun the project, while Gastón Gorali co-pens and acts as general producer of the Netflix Original series and Sergio Fernández boards as production director. Netflix and Campanella and Gorali’s Mundoloco CGI, the studio behind “Metegol,” the largest Latin American animated production to date, produce.

“Mafalda and her friends not only made me laugh a lot, but from time to time, they sent me to the dictionary. And each new word I learned came with the reward of a new laugh,” Campanella revealed in a July statement.
