The man of your dreams is back in Date Night with Freddy Krueger, a new comedy sketch from New York-based Sea Shelves Productions.
The first time tends to get a little messy in the three-minute short below.
Michael Leavy, who played Will the exterminator in the first Terrifier and went on to produce the sequels, dons the iconic glove and sweater as the Springwood slasher.
Sea Shelves’ Dominick Muschello, who worked on and appeared as an extra in Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3, rocks the Johnny Depp crop top as Freddy’s catfishing victim.
“I have been a huge fan of Robert’s forever,” says Leavy. “He’s a huge reason I got into filmmaking and horror in the first place, so to be able to bring one of the best slashers back to life in my own way while paying homage, and to do it with the hilariously talented Sea Shelves Productions,...

Winnie the Pooh, Pinocchio, Bambi, Peter Pan, and now Mickey Mouse... kinda!
The first teaser for Iconic Events Releasing's upcoming Screamboat movie didn't actually reveal the murderous mouse, but thanks to a new promo image (via Variety), we now have a first look at David Howard Thornton - who plays Art the Clown in the Terrifier films - as a twisted take on the classic cartoon character.
This project is not part of the Twisted Childhood Universe, aka the "Poohniverse," but by the looks of this reprehensible rodent, he'd fit right in.
As we're sure many of you will be aware, Steamboat Willie debuted in a 1928 animated short film directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks, which is generally viewed as the first appearance of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. For all intends and purposes, Willie is the iconic Disney mascot, but something tells us this character won't be referred...

As we usher in a brand-new year of genre filmmaking, I think it’s also worth looking back on what did and didn’t work about our previous trip around the sun. When it comes to the horror genre, that means celebrating the latest additions to horror iconography that were cooked up by filmmakers attempting to take the genre to the next level.
And in a year chalk-full of new monsters and killers I thought it might be fun to highlight six of the scariest horror masks of 2024. After all, a slasher is only as good as his murderous attire, and last year offered up plenty of memorable headgear for fans of stylish antagonists.
As usual, this list is purely based on personal opinion, but keep in mind that we’ll be focusing on the scare factor and memorability of the masks themselves rather than the overall quality of the film they originally appeared in.

Tim Curry's new horror movie, titled Stream, marks his big screen return after 14 years. The English actor rose to relevancy with his role as Dr. Frank-n-Furter in the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, reprising a role he originated in the musical stage production. Curry has appeared in many movies over the years, the last of which was Burke & Hare in 2010, before suffering a major stroke in 2012 and being confined to a wheelchair, and has since shifted mostly to voice acting.
Now, 14 years after his last feature film role, the seasoned actor is returning to the big screen. Per Variety, Curry is set to make a comeback portraying a character in the upcoming horror movie Stream, which releases in select theaters on August 21. In a statement, Stream director Michael Leavy said having the icon in his film was a dream come true, and a new poster was shared celebrating...

On January 1st, the earliest versions of Mickey Mouse – seen in the animated shorts Plane Crazy, The Gallopin’ Gaucho, and most famously Steamboat Willie – became public domain… which, of course, means we’re now going to get multiple horror movies that feature characters inspired by Mickey Mouse. Within the first three days of the year, we saw the short film The Vanishing of S.S. Willie, a trailer for the slasher movie Mickey’s Mouse Trap, and an announcement that Terrifier 2 producers Steven Della Salla and Michael Leavy and director Steven Lamorte, who previously made the Grinch-inspired horror movie The Mean One, were teaming up for a Steamboat Willie-inspired horror flick that we now know is titled Screamboat. The film is aiming for a January 2025 release, and a teaser trailer has now made its way online. You can check it out in the embed above.

From drawing attention to its trailer online to buying tickets for complete strangers, a small army of horror die-hards is willing to do whatever it takes to support Michael Leavy’s “Stream,” in theaters now.
While genre buffs have been ride-or-die for Leavy since he appeared in “Terrifier,” they were more important than ever for his latest indie gore fest. After saving the production from folding to Covid, Leavy made them official members of the “Stream” Team by giving them producer credits as thanks.
“Covid hit us right in the middle of production and we had used all of our funds for PPE and the Hepa filters,” Leavy explained. “So we ended up saying, ‘Let’s bring this to the horror community.’ And we offered producer credits and things like that for anybody who wanted to get involved.”
“Stream” follows a family of four who goes on vacation to soothe their infighting.

Tim Curry is back! The legendary actor hasn’t done much on-screen acting since his stroke in 2012, with his most recent screen appearances coming in the 2010 John Landis film Burke and Hare (pictured above), the 2012 comedy What About Dick?, and the TV presentation The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again in 2016. But today, Curry has returned to the big screen in the horror film Stream!

Stream arrives this summer from director Michael Leavy, continuing the gruesome vision of the popular Terrifier franchise. Set at an isolated hotel called The Pines, the movie sees four masked killers hunting the guests for a sinister online game streamed to anonymous viewers worldwide.
Roy, Elaine, and their two kids check into The Pines, hoping for a relaxing getaway. But things take a dark turn when the hotel goes into lockdown and guests start dying in increasingly brutal ways. As the masked players ramp up their slaughter, it’s a terrifying fight for survival inside the resort’s walls. Blood sprays as bones crunch in vivid practical kills that pay homage to horror classics while pushing new extremes.
Leavy delivers exactly what die-hard genre fans crave. Griefing a whole cast with mesmerizingly grisly demises, Stream is a non-stop slaughter that makes no excuses for its over-the-top carnage. Those seeking cerebral...

Those who think the days of the truly independent sleeper are long gone should take note of the “Terrifier” films which, with their direct, rather insular appeal to hardcore horror devotees, have racked up a very tidy sum in profits from relatively tiny budgetary layouts. A third feature will be released this fall, but meanwhile there’s “Stream,” a stand-alone effort from much of the crew of “Terrifier 2”, which capitalized on the original’s cult status to gross nearly $16 million two years ago. “Stream,” too, is launching as a limited theatrical event, booked between Aug. 21 to Aug. 25 in the U.S. and Canada, with other territories to follow.
Though it breaks from their conceptual template — there’s no killer clown — “Stream” also echoes the “Terrifier” films in its general gist, as well as individual plusses and minuses. They’re all movies on the higher-quality end of that peculiar gorehound terrain,...
