Tiny Toons Looniversity Cast & EP Interview
Image
Originally debuting in 1990, Tiny Toons Adventures brought a new generation of Looney Tunes to the world of animation. Introducing a generation of students to a school for cartoon greats, the show ran for nearly a hundred episodes. Now, over thirty years later, the classic characters are back in a new form. Tiny Toons Looniversity refreshes the concept for 2023, introducing new takes on the cast while retaining the goofy spirit that made them endearing in the first place.

During an interview with Cbr ahead of Tiny Toons Looniversity's debut on Max and Cartoon Network, co-showrunner and co-ep Nate Cash, Eric Bauza (Buster), Tessa Netting (Sweetie), and David Errigo Jr. (Plucky & Hampton) sat down to discuss carrying on the legacy of the cartoons they loved as children, the surprisingly grounded elements of the goofy cartoon universe and exploring the real ramifications of going to college to be a toon.

Sdcc: Tiny Toons Looniversity Unveils Its Updated Theme Song
Image
At San Diego Comic-Con, Max unveiled the all-new theme song for Tiny Toons Looniversity, a reboot of the beloved 90s cartoon Tiny Toon Adventures.

Announced back in 2020, Tiny Toons Looniversity will finally be released on Cartoon Network and Max this fall. The show brings back all of the original show's memorable characters, though it's not exactly a revival, as some changes have been made to the characters, notably with Buster and Babs now depicted as twin siblings rather than best friends. However, the new theme song unveiled by Max at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday will be familiar, as it's a revamped version of the original theme for Tiny Toon Adventures. It's one way of teasing how the classic cartoon will still serve as a big inspiration for the reboot series.

‘Looniversity’ Puts New Spin on Beloved ‘Tiny Toons’ Theme Song
Image
They’re still tiny and now they’re learning to be a little looney with a new spin on one of television’s most catchy theme songs.

Tiny Toons Looniversity, the updated take on 1990s favorite Tiny Toon Adventures, used its time at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday morning to unveil its theme song, which as you’d expect, is based on the beloved theme song from the original — but with a new twist.

Composer Matthew Janszen has taken composer Bruce Broughton’s Daytime Emmy-winning tune and remixed the original arrangement and lyrics to fit the rebooted show made for a new generation.

The voice cast features Eric Bauza as Buster, Daffy and Gossamer; Ashleigh Hairston as Babs; David Errigo Jr. as Hamton J. Pig and Plucky; and Tessa Netting as Sweety. Looniversity also brings back Tiny Toon Adventures grads Jeff Bergman, Bob Bergen, Candi Milo and Cree Summer, who...

Tiny Toons Looniversity Voice Cast Announced Ahead of Reboot's Fall Premiere
Image
Back in 2020 it was announced that 90s cartoon series Tiny Toon Adventures would be making a comeback, with a two series order right out the traps. Under the new title of Tiny Toons Looniversity, there was speculation about how the returning franchise would look and if it would be a faithful follow-up or go the way of many recent reboots with a completely different style. Concept art from the series gave a first look at the new show, and now the principle voice cast has been revealed by Max.

There series, which will be going out on both Max and Cartoon Network, will see the return of some old school Tiny Toons stars including JEff Bergman, Bob Bergan, Candi Milo and Cree Summer. Also part of the cast will be veteran Looney Tunes star Fred Tatasciore, who will be joined by newcomers Ashleigh Hairston, who takes on the role of Babs Bunny,...

Fantastic Beasts 2 Early Reactions Will Get Harry Potter Fans Hyped
Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Dan Fogler, William Nadylam, Alison Sudol, Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Claudia Kim, Zoë Kravitz, Ezra Miller, and Callum Turner in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
Lucky Harry Potter fans were able to catch an early screening of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald this weekend in a few different locations. Now that the social media embargo has lifted, early reactions to the highly anticipated sequel have hit the web. There has been some controversy surrounding the sequel, mainly around the decision to keep Johnny Depp on board, after accusations of domestic abuse by ex-wife Amber Heard were made public. With that being said, the first reactions to the sequel have been positive, for the most part.

Harry Potter fans were a bit skeptical when Eddie Redmayne's magizoologist Newt Scamander became the new leading face for the franchise over two years ago. However, Fantastic Beasts was a huge success, scoring over $800 million globally, and safely securing that more films would be made in the future. The first of the four new installments, Fantastic Beasts 2 hits theaters on November 16th,...

First Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindewald Reactions Surface
It seems as if Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, the magical sequel coming to us from Warner Bros. and director David Yates, is about to have a solid, though not spectacular debut.

As we reported earlier this week, the fantastical adventure is said to be tracking for a $65M-$75M opening on home turf, which would put it on par with the first Fantastic Beasts movie – itself the lowest three-day debut in Warner’s beloved franchise. Which is to say that all Harry Potter pics performed better during their opening weekends.

Be that as it may, excitement for The Crimes of Grindelwald is still pretty high, with wizards and muggles alike recently flocking to Entertainment Weekly to catch the latest high-res photos (and cast interviews!) for the November tentpole. And now, it seems that a lucky few have had the chance to see the sequel early and they can’t stop gushing about it.

YouTube Stars Anna Brisbin, Tessa Netting Launch Podcast Dedicated To Geek Culture
Two of YouTube's foremost nerds have teamed up to launch a new podcast. Anna "BrizzyVoices" Brisbin and Tessa Netting are the hosts of Fantastic Geeks And Where To Find Them, a podcast about fandoms and pop culture.

I could describe the premise of Fantastic Geeks myself, but I'd rather defer to Netting, who offered a lengthy explanation of her podcast in a press release. If you understand all of the terms she uses in this quote, then Fantastic Geeks may be the show for you:

Fantastic Geeks and Where to Find Them is a podcast for people who are passionate about fandom! We’re talking nerdy TV shows, books, movies, animation, and pop culture. Brizzy and I are two best friends who met through Harry Potter and we are not afraid to celebrate what it means to be a geek! Although we are both proud Ravenclaws, we have differences...
