CBS Films has debuted the second official trailer for the horror thriller film titled Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built, now titled simply just Winchester (because who wants to remember that very long title, I guess?). Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of "the most haunted house in the world", built by Sarah Winchester, played by Helen Mirren, heiress to the Winchester (weaponry) fortune. The huge house, located 50 miles outside of San Francisco, stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms. Apparently Winchester built this house as a prison, an asylum for hundreds of vengeful ghosts. The cast includes Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson, Laura Brent, Tyler Coppin, and Dawayne Jordan. This does look fairly creepy, and I'm hoping the house plays a major role with all kinds of scary things coming from inside.

This looks like a solid haunted house film, with some crazy things going on and spooky ghosts. I'd actually like to visit this house. Universal Pictures has just announced the release date for the highly anticipated biopic Straight Outta Compton, due in theaters next summer, August 14, 2015.

Ice Cube and Dr. Dre debuted the first photo of the cast this morning on Twitter. O'Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell and Corey Antonio Hawkins star as Ice Cube, Eazy-e and Dr. Dre.

Straight Outta Compton is directed by F. Gary Gray (Set It Off, Friday) and the drama is produced by original N.W.A. members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, who are joined by fellow producers Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright. William Packer serves as executive producer of the film alongside F. Gary Gray.

In the mid-1980s, the streets of Compton, California, were some of the most dangerous in the country. When five young men translated their experiences growing up into brutally honest music that rebelled against abusive authority, they gave an explosive voice to a silenced generation.

Last week we reported that O'Shea Jackson Jr. would be playing his father, Ice Cube, in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton. Today, Billboard has word that Marcus Callendar will be portraying Dr. Dre and Jason Mitchell is taking on the role of the late Eazy-e.

Marcus Callendar is best known for being an alumni of New York's Shakespeare Lab at the Public Theater and has had roles in multiple television shows including HBO's Criminal Justice, Blue Bloods and Elementary. Jason Mitchell has had small parts in Mark Wahlberg's Contraband and Broken City. Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy E's widow Tomica Wright have all approved of the casting.

F. Gary Gray will be directing this biographical film from a script by Jonathan Herman. Production is expected to start in a few months with a possible 2015 release, which will coincide with their 25th anniversary of their first album Straight Outta Compton.
