Exclusive: The Revisionist, the drama starring Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man), Alison Brie (Glow), André Holland (Moonlight), and Tom Sturridge (The Sandman), is heading to the Cannes market with Palisades Park Pictures handling international sales.

We first told you about writer-director Alex Vlack’s feature film debut late last year and the movie is now in post. WME Independent will handle North America rights.

In The Revisionist, “Elise, a successful novelist, does what so many writers do: she manipulates and transforms the people in her life into the characters she needs for her story. As she blurs the line between fiction and reality, her world descends into secrets, lies, and outright betrayal. Exclusive: Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman, André Holland, Alison Brie and Tom Sturridge are leading Alex Vlack’s feature directorial debut, the drama The Revisionist.

The production, written by Vlack, is currently shooting in Louisville, Ky.

In The Revisionist, Elise, a successful novelist, does what so many writers do: she manipulates and transforms the people in her life into the characters she needs for her story. As she blurs the line between fiction and reality, her world descends into secrets, lies, and outright betrayal. The project is an exploration of the psychological lengths to which a writer will go to achieve their art.

Pic is also produced by Vlack along with Arielle Elwes, Veronica Radaelli, Zachary Spicer, Fiona Robert and Sophia Robert. Vlack’s previous work includes directing and executive producing the documentary Still Bill about soul legend Bill Withers.

Exclusive: Vertical has acquired North American and UK & Ireland rights for A New York Story, about a New Yorker torn between the gilded cage of her wealthy uptown life and the bohemian downtown world of a new love interest from outside her social circle.

The romantic drama is the second film from siblings Sophia and Fiona Robert, who work under the banner of The Robert Sisters. They co-wrote the screenplay, with Fiona Robert directing.

Fiona Robert also stars as Annabel, a young woman who risks being ostracized from her insular New York clique, led by her socialite best friend Virginia (Sophia Robert), when she falls for charming photographer Theo, played by Paul Karmiryan (Veronica Mars).

Grappling with the sudden loss of her father, she finds herself torn between the comfortable opulence of her upper crust circle and the vibrant ambitions of the artists downtown.

A Great Divide, a anti-Asian racism drama that stars Ken Jeong, Jae Suh Park and Emerson Min, is set to open the competitive program for Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival, running June 13-18.

The feature directorial debut of Emmy-winning commercial and short film director Jean Shim, which also star Miya Cech in a lead role, will get a world premiere during the ninth edition of the Bentonville, Arkansas festival. A Great Divide follows a Korean-American family that leaves the Bay Area for a fresh start in rural Wyoming after experiencing a devastating loss.

Also getting a first look at Bentonville is director R. J. Daniel Hanna’s Hard Miles, which dramatizes the true story of a youth prison social worker who took a cycling team comprising teenage inmates on a transformative 1,000-mile ride. Exclusive: Cranked Up Films has acquired North American rights to the comedy The Country Club starring John Higgins of SNL trio Please Don’t Destroy, with Archstone Entertainment taking foreign rights. The film marking the directorial debut of Fiona Robert, who also stars, is set for release in June.

The Country Club centers on two young women (real-life sisters Fiona Robert and Sophia Robert) who hatch a plan to win a junior golf tournament prize at a prestigious Hamptons country club. But once they encounter the quirky, wealthy patrons at the club, they are thrust on an adventure of mistaken identity, love, and finding friendship in the most unlikely of people.
