Alexandre Ottoveggio is a filmmaker, actor, stuntman, screenwriter, and author. He was born in Casablanca, Morocco, and began training in martial arts at the age of 7. At 16, he started working in filmmaking, first by joining film sets as crew to gain experience. He later moved into acting, playing supporting and small roles in international films.
His career took a new turn when he met a stunt coordinator and began working as a stuntman on several major Hollywood productions. He performed alongside actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Ewan McGregor, Gérard Lanvin, Jean Dujardin, and others. Alexandre also worked as a casting director on feature films and TV series, including Shaka Zulu: The Citadel with Oliver Reed and Grace Jones, and Furia with Marion Cotillard. He also worked as a translator and in the special effects second unit on Black Hawk Down, directed by Sir Ridley Scott.
After gaining experience in many areas of film production, Alexandre moved to the United States to begin his journey as a filmmaker. He directed several independent films including Paradise River, When It's Not Your Time, and On the Road to You. Later, he returned to Europe and continued making films such as Fury Man, Alien Activity, Breaking Souls, Another Day on Earth, and most recently, Last Mile to Paradise.
In addition to filmmaking, Alexandre is also a writer. He has written several novels, including Perils of Liberty, A Fugitive at the Crossroad, and The Tearing. Passionate about cinema, he taught himself cinematography by watching master directors at work on set.
He has been practicing Aikido since the age of 7 and continues to train to this day. Martial arts have been a strong support in his life, providing discipline and focus. Alexandre has been nominated multiple times for his films and screenplays at international festivals, earning recognition for his dedication and creativity. On the side, he is also a self-taught music composer and multi-instrumentalist, having released three acoustic pop-rock albums that reflect his passion for music and artistic expression.
