Akumi Agitogi started the My Happy Marriage light novel series in 2019 and since then, it has become one of the most popular romance stories of this generation. As of the time of writing, there are nine volumes in print.

The series has been adapted into a manga, but also an anime series, which premiered on July 5, 2023. A live-action film was also released that year. The anime series’ second season ended on April 9, 2025 after some delays.

To celebrate its release, more voice actors have been announced, many of whom appeared in huge anime titles like Oshi No Ko and Neon Genesis Evangelion. This spin-off series will be released on social media and will fill the broadcast gap before the main series returns.

According to Crunchyroll, the additional voice cast that are set to star in One Piece in Love are Akari Kito (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), Akira Ishida (Naruto), Megumi Han (Oshi No Ko), Takehito Koyasu (Neon Genesis Evangelion), and Mahito Ohba (One Piece). A new project titled Koisuru One Piece (also known as One Piece in Love) was recently revealed during AnimeJapan 2025, adding yet another layer to the ever-expanding world of One Piece.

The spin-off that has been adapted from the 2018 manga of the same name by Daiki Ihara, follows three high school students whose names bear a striking resemblance to members of the Straw Hat crew.

As revealed during AnimeJapan 2025's Red Stage, Daiki Ihara's Koisuru One Piece (One Piece in Love) manga spinoff series will receive a vertical short anime adaptation every day from Apr. 1 to Apr. 5. The gag series follows high-school students bearing similar names to the Straw Hat Pirates as they run a One Piece fan club. Shinichiro Watanabe, best known as the creator of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, has a new anime coming out next month, as Mappa is preparing for the release of Lazarus. The anime has attracted a lot of attention, as fans of Watanabe’s work are looking forward to seeing this new story.

As we have reported earlier, the series will premiere on Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block on April 5 at 12:00 a.m. Edt, and will be available on Max the next day. In Japan, the series will premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on April 6 at 11:45 p.m. and will also stream on various platforms.

An exciting new anime programming block is coming to U.S. screens this February, with Anime.com soon debuting two of the last decade's most popular and era-defining anime series.

Via Ann, the North American cable television channel Axs TV lists a new Anime.com Hour programming block beginning Feb. 13 at 10 p.m. Est. Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works will kick off the block on Feb. 13, 2025, followed by My Hero Academia the next week on Feb. 20, both in English dubbed. Both series will also air reruns two days later before Unlimited Blade Works returns on Feb. 27. March's listings are yet to be revealed.

The official website of AnimeJapan 2025 revealed the line-ups for its main stages on Jan 17, 2025.

This year’s event will feature four main stages—Red, Green, Blue, and the newly introduced White stage, hosting a total of 52 programs over two days.

Red Stage & Green Stage: These are closed stages with designated seating. Attendees will need both an admission ticket and a stage viewing ticket to watch programs on these stages. Blue Stage & White Stage: These are open stages. The front-row seats for viewing will be designated seating, requiring both an admission ticket and a stage viewing ticket. However, free viewing areas are available at the back, though space is limited.

In a recent interview with Comic Natalie, voice actor Tomikazu Sugita opened up about his initial hesitation to take on the lead role of Sakamoto in Sakamoto Days anime.

His reason? A sense of déjà vu tied to his past work.
