Directors Jen & Sylvia Soska (Rabid, American Mary) bring you back into the universe of George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead with Tubi Original Festival of the Living Dead, and Bloody Disgusting has been exclusively provided with the official trailer today.

Festival of the Living Dead will bite into Tubi on April 5. The new zombie film is set decades after Night of the Living Dead, centered on the grandchildren of that film’s main character.

The Soska Sisters tweet, “The film is a sequel to Romero’s masterpiece original Night of the Living Dead – the story follows Ben’s grandchildren 55 years after the incident.”

Ben was of course played by late actor Duane Jones in Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, who bravely battled the shambling undead before being killed by the film’s human villains.

Jen & Sylvia Soska (Rabid, American Mary) have joined forces with Tubi for Festival of the Living Dead, a new horror movie based on George Romero’s classic zombie film.

We’ve learned this week that Festival of the Living Dead will bite into Tubi on April 5.

The Soska Sisters tweet this week, “This is a gorgeous, high action, big heart, loads of zombies beautiful film! We shot it last year in Vancouver and we cannot wait to share it with you!”

MTV Entertainment Studios and Will Packer Media will release its upcoming parody thriller “Binged to Death” on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt, TheWrap revealed exclusively.

The film follows an obsessive woman named Kristen (Loni Love) and her best friend Terry (Carl Anthony Payne II), who learn that their favorite reality show couples have broken up. The pair kidnap the contestants and force them into a series of torturous games, all with the hopes of rekindling their favorite TV romances.

In addition to Love (“Mother’s Day”) and Payne (“Martin: The Reunion”), the cast includes Quincy Brown (“Holiday Calendar”) as Hugh; Loren Lott (“Praise This”) as Lexy; Jessica Lord (“Find Me in Paris”) as Sienna, Andre Anthony (“Scream 6”) as Aj, Dan Ginnane (“50 Shades of Fright”) as Quincy; and Nico Tortorella (“Younger”) as Zion.

Showrunners and filmmakers began bringing intimacy coordinators onto TV and film sets to ensure that performers felt safe and their boundaries respected while filming sex scenes. But as two top practitioners told TheWrap, the role has expanded to include any depiction of “heightened emotion,” including assaults, deaths and childbirth.

Kathy Kadler, who comes from a nursing background and has been an intimacy coordinator for three years, worked on both seasons of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets.” She found the cast relying on her more often in filming Season 2, in which characters dealt with a stillbirth, cannibalism, murder and dissociative breaks from reality.

Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Teen Taissa on the drama series, expressed how thankful she was to have an intimacy coordinator on set as an overall mental health resource.

With Radio Silence (Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin) at the helm, the latest entry in the ongoing "Scream" saga goes for broke with a new setting and the most vicious iteration of its masked killer to date. When he isn't flaying bodies or shooting up a bodega, Ghostface is plotting an elaborate ruse to trap our heroes inside a hidden shrine. There's just something different about this Ghostface; even his sense of humor is unfamiliar.

With its rug-pulling opening, visceral brutality, and grittier tone, "Scream VI" often doesn't feel like a "Scream" movie. Still, as with every installment, the film is as much about cutting wit as it is bloody setpieces. In this chapter, Gillett and Bettinelli-Oplin delight with situational humor and ironic conversations while pouring the gore on thick. It's not "Scream 3"-level camp, but rather "Scream 2" with a straight-laced edge.
