Josh Park, 2022
Josh Park is a first generation Korean-American cinematographer based in Los Angeles, CA.

Growing up in a small town in South Korea, Park spent his youth studying calligraphy and drawing cartoons with friends. He relocated to the United States, eventually left his career in real estate and studied cinematography at California State University, Long Beach.

After joining the film industry, Park observed the industry as a camera assistant and eventually made his narrative cinematography debut with Jake and Joan, his first short film which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. Since then, expanding his career focus not only limited to narrative but to documentaries, commercials, and music videos, Park enjoys bringing his unique visual medium in line with the director's vision and a great control of his craft.

Park has brought fresh looks to the eSports industry with his work in professional League of Legends eSports, cultivating the vibrant look of what competitive video game industry athletes could be represented and was rewarded the 2019 Sports Emmy Awards for his outstanding documentary and commercial work - making history of being the first ever eSports award in the category.

Also, with the eruption of the K-Pop boom in the music industry, Park has served numerous Korean music video directors with his Korean & American taste in cinematography, lensing many K-Pop music video titles that are loved by millions across the world.

Park strives in creative problem solving when it comes to work. He pushes for conformity in the latest technological advancement in the filmmaking in hopes to keep the cinematography as rudimentary as possible to serve the story the best way.
