Kassidy Mattera

Kassidy Rose Mattera was born in Montreal Quebec to Lynn Marie Baker and Philip Mattera on February 3rd, 2001. Her mother Lynn Baker is of Irish descent from Crescent Beach, Nova Scotia, Her father Philip Mattera a former actor and play writer of Italian descent from Montreal. Kassidy is also fluent in French. At a very young age, Kassidy discovered her passion for acting in Community Theater. As her love for theater grew she continued training in singing, dancing, and acting.
Her family moved from Montreal to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2008 where she continued acting and dancing. In 2010 at the age of nine, Kassidy was cast in Neptune Theater's production of "The Wizard Of Oz" as a Munchkin and Ozian. Kassidy has also performed in Neptune Theater's production of "Elf" and "A Christmas Carol". Performing on stage in over 150 professional theater performances.
In 2011 Kassidy made her television debut as "Lucy" in the Award-winning Canadian sitcom television series "MR.D" starring acclaimed comedian Gerry Dee. Kassidy was a series regular in 8 seasons of "Mr.D" (49 episodes ) Kassidy won a "Young Entertainer Award" in Los Angeles and a "Joey" Award in Canada for Best Young Actress in a TV series. Kassidy has also been recognized by "Actra Maritimes" with an Achievement Award for her role on "Mr.D". and was nominated for "Young Artist Awards".
Kassidy loves performing and has training in voice, singing, acting, and dance! (ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and tap).
Kassidy has also performed in commercials, radio, voice-over, and short films, and recently Kassidy wrote and directed her first short film "Dial Tone"
Kassidy now resides in Toronto, where she continues to study and pursue new adventures in acting.
