Marg Helgenberger on Returning to Catherine Willows Role for ‘CSI: Vegas': ‘I Missed Her’
Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, and William Petersen in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000)
“CSI” Og Marg Helgenberger will return to the role of Catherine Willows for “CSI: Vegas” this fall, a continuation of CBS’ long-running forensics crime franchise, and on Friday the actress revealed part of the reason you’ll see her back is because she missed her character.

“When I left, midway through Season 12 of the original series, I needed to step back because I played the role for so long, and it had become such a part of my life that I felt she had become a part of my identity a little bit,” the actress said during CBS’ presentation at the Television Critics Association virtual summer press tour. “Having that perspective of being away from her and then coming back and in a big way as this, I did miss her actually. I missed her; I missed her passion; I missed her swagger; I missed her spunk.”

Helgenberger was an...

All About The Cast of “Cold Justice”
“Cold Justice” is a true-crime series currently airing on Oxygen. It follows former prosecutor Kelly Siegler and retired investigator Yolanda McLary. The duo travels across the country to small towns, reviving bone-chilling decades-old unsolved homicides, putting criminals to justice, and bringing solace to distraught victims.

You see two professionals at work, taking the assistance of local law enforcement authorities to rebuild cases and confront suspects. The stakes are high as the show is unscripted, and criminals could resort to aggression in self-defense.

Naturally, the drama is not over the top because of the unscripted episodes. However, watching the suspense of the story, the gruesomeness of the crimes, the insidious motives of a killer, and the grief of the victims will keep you on edge.

The show has a rating of 88 rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8/10 IMDb score. It is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Magical Elves. Dick Wolf and...

The Jane Doe Murders Review: Compassionate True Crime Doc Provides Closure
Image
This The Jane Doe Murders review contains spoilers.

The Jane Doe Murders is another in a long line of true crime breakdown procedurals. However, it showcases something rare but obvious in the majority of these video journalism projects. At the heart of the case which is probed on Oxygen’s two-hour forensic investigation special is a personal story. The victim is neither famous nor infamous. She wasn’t at the center of a nationwide manhunt. Parents weren’t told to check on their kids at 10 o’clock because of her. Her case went unsolved without so much as a name to identify her. The series points out there are nearly 40,000 open cases in the U.S. where the victim of a violent crime is unidentified. The victims are called Jane or John Doe. They become cold cases. The Jane Doe Murders brings warmth as well as closure.

It’s not...

Cold Justice Returns June 20th With New Cases And Update Episode
TNT‘s Cold Justice is one of those shows that makes you wonder what the hell has gone wrong with the television imitation machine. While every terrible piece of garbage almost instantly spawns at least two or three rip-offs, Cold Justice is still alone in the brilliant and fascinating realm of turning TV money into the funds to pursue difficult cases and the criminals behind them.

The series is returning with new episodes on the 20th, which will kick off with an all day marathon, and on July 18th fans will get their wish as the show will put out a special update episode hosted by John Walsh.

That’s obviously a great tie-in, because just like America’s Most Wanted back in the day, this is the new show you want to root for, especially because it gets results. Already with several confessions and many more arrests, the show...

'Cold Justice' winter finale video: Kelly and Yolanda investigate a double homicide
As "Cold Justice" comes to its winter finale, investigators Kelly Siegler and Yolanda McClary head to Iowa to investigate a double homicide from three decades earlier. Can they find out who killed a young couple after so many years?

In 1983, 20-year-old Steven Fisher and his girlfriend, 17-year-old Melissa Gregory, were killed by brutal blows to the head. Family troubles and rumors of drug trafficking both figured into the investigation, but the case was never solved.

"Cold Justice" attempts to do just that when it airs Friday, March 28 at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on TNT.

Cold Justice TV Review – TNT Spins Crime Drama Reality
TNT‘s new show, Cold Justice, has a reality show summary that makes you wonder how it hasn’t been a show already. With Cops and America’s Most Wanted hitting so early in the reality game, and managing popularity for decades, how did we avoid a team investigating cases for so long?

Yolanda McClary and Kelly Siegler have the resumes to justify their positions on the show, but carrying a show week after week (read: being charismatic enough and “watchable” enough to get people to want to watch your show, whatever it might be about) is a different question altogether, and I’m not convinced this is the pair to make it happen.

As you might imagine, Cold Justice gives us a long-time prosecutor and a very experienced crime scene investigator, and they travel the country taking on cold cases. We walk along with them as they put together theories,...

'Cold Justice' follows Marg Helgenberger's real-life 'CSI'-character prototype
Long after the funeral flowers wilt, everyone hugs, and the silence a death brings settles in, survivors are expected to go on with their lives.

It's always difficult, but when someone is murdered, it's a special pain. And when the murderer is never caught, that pain is immeasurable. Eventually the police file is relegated to the cold cases and rarely solved.

TNT's "Cold Justice," premiering Tuesday, Sept. 3, aims to help right those wrongs. It features two women who are fierce about nabbing criminals, no matter how cold the case.

Kelly Siegler was a Texas prosecutor with impressive numbers: She won the 68 murder cases she tried and secured the death penalty in 19 out of 20 capital cases.

Yolanda McClary worked for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 26 years and investigated more than 7,000 crimes.

"Yolanda was the prototype for Marg Helgenberger's character on 'CSI,' " Siegler tells Zap2it. "That ruined us!
