Charlie the Elephant was an actor, known for Man and Beast (1917), Monkey Stuff (1919) and An Elephant on His Hands (1913). He died on 4 October 1923 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Was shot to death on Ocotber 4, 1923 by Universal studio employee Harry Lonsdale after showing aggressive behavior on film studio set and attacking his trainer Algernon Stecker while filming Maurice Tourneurs The Brass Bottle.
