At the top of "Simpsons" fans' lists of their favorite episodes is usually the season 4 classic "Marge vs. the Monorail." Written by Conan O'Brien, the episode is "The Simpsons" at perhaps its sharpest and most energetic. There are a million jokes per minute here, all of them hits. And even if you don't find them all funny, at least you can enjoy the catchy musical number the show uses to introduce Lyle Lanley, the smooth-talking salesman who tricks the town into spending all their money on a monorail that doesn't work.

The iconic cat and mouse duo Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse have gone through many series and movies since they were introduced to the world in the 1940s series Tom and Jerry created by William Hanna and Joeseph Barbera. The characters are continuing to be used in media today; most recently found in the movie Tom and Jerry: Cowboy Up! which was released in early 2022 and the upcoming series Tom and Jerry Time.

With so many spin-offs of the original Tom and Jerry, there are bound to be many good and bad series and movies in the franchise. Fans rated all the series and movies that include the duo on IMDb and these are the top 10.

I think we all have to accept that things move on. As we get older the cartoons, shows and movies we loved as kids are embraced as classics (or forgotten) and sometimes these classics are re-introduced to newer generations. The results are sometimes lopsided though, as for every Who Framed Roger Rabbit you have about a dozen The Smurfs, for every The Simpsons Movie there are the likes of Top Cat: The Movie and for every Paddington/Paddington 2 you have a, well, you have a Tom & Jerry.

More than 20 years after Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett first conceived of Gorillaz, the visual history of the cartoon band will be explored in an expansive “almanac” due out this October.

The Gorillaz Almanac, published by Z2 Comics, will feature 120-plus full-color pages featuring Hewlett’s artwork for the band. The hardcover book will also boast exclusive new artwork, the first-ever comic strip starring 2D, Noodle, Murdoc Niccals and Russel Hobbs, plus “puzzles, games and a raft of special guest appearances from Gorillaz collaborators past and present.”

Chloë Grace Moretz is in final negotiations to star in Warner Bros.' live-action/animated hybrid movie Tom and Jerry, Collider has exclusively learned. Tim Story (Shaft) will direct and produce alongside The Story Company's Sharla Sumpter Bridgett, and while writing credits don't seem to have been determined yet, we've heard that Katie Silberman (Booksmart), April Prosser (The Last Summer) and Kevin Costello.all had a hand in the script.
