Directed by Griffin from a script he wrote with Seth Chitwood, the film is about, well, a wax museum of the hungry dead run by everyone’s favorite mad scientist in Salem, Ma. Michael Thurber, from Griffin’s previous project Murder University, is Dr. Frankenstein, and the cast also includes Jamie Lyn Bagley, Jesse Dufault, Shannon Hartman, Johnny Sederquist, Aurora Grabill, Patrick Keeffe, Aaron Peaslee, Christopher Ferreira, Nat Sylva, Ryan Hanley, Beatriz Lopez and Andre Boudreau. Eric Rodrigues and Jordan Pacheco created the makeup FX.
“For my 13th feature,” Griffin says, “I decided to go back to my roots and make a small, atmospheric, Euro-tinged horror film in the vein of one of my idols, Jess Franco. I was so lucky to find this amazing location [Count Orlok’s Nightmare Gallery] in Salem, Ma. My co-writer Seth Chitwood and I rapidly produced a screenplay in just a few days…and just a couple of weeks later,...

Horror icons always seem to be slashers…sure, we work a supernatural in there from time to time like a vamp or something like that. But the indie film Jonah Lives hopes the next icon comes in the rotting, undead variety…namely, their zombie, Jonah.
Written and directed by Luis Carvalho, Jonah Lives stars Brinke Stevens, Cesar Perreira, Jocelyn Padilla, James Barrett, Ryan Boudreau, Nicole Lasala, Rob Roy and Aaron Peaslee. It's a little bit zombie romp and a little bit Pumpkinhead-ish summoned beast revenge flick. Although no official announcement has yet been made, rumor has it that the folks behind the Rock and Shock horror convention were so impressed with what they've seen from Jonah Lives that they've already invited them to screen the film at their October festival in Massachusetts.
