No plot details have been confirmed, but the title clearly states that this story centers on Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren's (Vera Farmiga) real life investigation of The Enfield Poltergeist, which took place in the late 1970s. However, a new report from Bloody-Disgusting claims that the story may open with the Warren's investigation of the 1974 Amityville murders, which served as the basis for the 1979 classic The Amityville Horror.
