The cast of AppleTV+'s comedy show Shrinking had plenty to celebrate recently as the show scored a whopping seven Emmy nominations, with four recognizing its stellar performers. As it turns out, those celebrations were even merrier as the Emmy announcements coincided with the final days of filming for Season 3, as revealed by one of the nominees, Michael Urie (who plays Brian), via a social media post. Filming began in mid-February, and in May, a new set of cast additions were revealed, which, surprisingly, included the legendary Michael J. Fox in what will be his first role in five years. The new cast additions also include Isabella Gomez, Sherry Cola, Jeff Daniels, and more. With filming now wrapped, it won't be long before fans get to see the old and new cast in action when Shrinking returns for its third season.

Only a day after the sophomore season of this Apple TV+ comedy hit, Shrinking, premiered, a third chapter was ordered, which began filming in mid-February of this year. Production has nearly wrapped, but unfortunately, no arrival date is set. Nevertheless, fans can expect their favorites to return to small screens soon, as co-creator Bill Lawrence recently shared details about Shrinking Season 3’s characters, both new and returning ones, including fellow creator Brett Goldstein's Louis.
Shrinking Season 3 will be centered on the characters’ moving forward, following previous runs focused on grief and forgiveness. As confirmed by Lawrence, Goldstein’s Louis will reappear in multiple episodes of the new chapter, showing him "moving forward" in his own life. The EP explained:
“Forgiveness wasn’t just Jimmy’s story. It was Alice’s [Lukita Maxwell] story, and Derek [Ted McGinley] and Liz’s [Christa Miller] story, and Sean [Luke Tennie] with his dad,...

Shrinking Season 3 has nearly wrapped production, and viewers can expect to see new (and familiar) faces when the Apple TV+ comedy returns for its next batch of episodes centered on moving forward.
That’s the theme this year, following previous runs focused on grief and forgiveness. Michael J. Fox and “Spin City” fans — you’re in for a treat. After not appearing in an on-screen role since his 2020 appearance on “The Good Fight,” Fox will return to acting as a guest star in the upcoming Season 3 of “Shrinking,” Apple TV+ announced Thursday.
Long a staple of television sitcoms, Fox previously worked with “Shrinking” showrunner Bill Lawrence on “Spin City” and also guest-starred on his later series “Scrubs.”
Mirroring the show’s own depiction of Parkinson’s disease through Harrison Ford’s character Dr. Paul Rhoades, Fox has been living with the ailment for 30 years. In that time, Fox through his organization The Michael J. Fox Foundation has raised over $2 billion for Parkinson’s research and has been a vocal advocate for how the disease is perceived. Though the actor was diagnosed in 1991, he first revealed his diagnosis in 1998 while a part of “Spin City.” By Season...

When documentarian Davis Guggenheim released Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie on Apple TV+ last year, we were reminded of two things. First, that the Back To The Future star remains one of Hollywood's all-time greats; and second, well, that we just really miss seeing that man lighting up our screens. Happily then, today we've learned via Deadline that five years after making his last acting appearance in The Good Fight, Fox is set to take on a major guest role in Bill Lawrence's upcoming Shrinking Season 3.

Jason Segel and Harrison Ford’s starrer Shrinking was a surprising entry to the list of shows on Apple TV+ when it first premiered in 2023. It swept everyone off their feet by being one of the most-watched shows on the streaming platform. Segel created the show with Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, and it has gone on to give the audience a broader perspective on therapy in a positive way.
The series was appreciated for its writing, humor, and the way it tackles sensitive topics. Fans have gone on to appreciate the actors, who are very convincing in their parts. The popularity of the show was seen when it was renewed for a third season just a day after the second season premiered. Now, we have an update on which cast members are set to return.

Harrison Ford and Jason Segel-starrer Shrinking is probably one of the shows on a streaming platform that provides its viewers some sort of healing. The relatable yet complex characters, the hardships of life, emotional depth, and complicated relationships—the series is packed with everything, but it goes a level up with normalizing seeking professional help.
The show has been an eye-opening opportunity for the viewers who have been curious about therapy and therapists. It helps the audience look at the medical professionals in a different light, like human beings who, despite being their solution, have to go through everyday problems as well. And with season two wrapping up on an emotional note, we’re pretty much certain that the third season is going to drop a little sooner than everyone’s expectations.

Apple TV+ has been putting out gem after gem, one after the other, each show and movie with the goal of topping the others. Be it heartfelt comedies, mystery thrillers, or action, they just know how to do it right and always manage to stick the landing.
From shows like Ted Lasso, Severance, and Dope Thief, it is like they can’t make a bad series or movies. One of the original Apple shows that is gaining a lot of traction lately is Shrinking. A story that revolves around a therapist who is coping with himself after the passing of his wife and is seeking guidance from another therapist who is finding ways to deal with Parkinson’s disease.

In 2017, Netflix rebooted the 1975 sitcom One Day at a Time, giving it a makeover and following three generations of a Latine family. The series faced not just one but two cancelations, but fans can finally find out how the series was supposed to end.
One Day at a Time tackled many serious subjects, despite its sitcom status. Similar to ABC's Black-ish, One Day a Time put the members of the family through different scenarios, sometimes humorous, that led to opportunities for growth, educating the viewer in the process. Netflix canceled the series after three seasons, and Pop took over and revived it in 2020, but the pandemic stopped production and the network decided to cancel it, despite its 99% Rotten Tomatoes score. Per Variety, the cast will reunite to table read the remaining three episodes, including the one that served as the series finale.

Norman Lear was a man of modest physical stature, standing a trim 5’7″ on a good day. In terms of his impact on television — comedy primarily, but the medium as a whole — he was a giant, who belongs on any Mt. Rushmore of showrunners. He dominated an entire decade of TV like no one before or since, with hit after hit that expanded the boundaries of what could be done with the old-fashioned multi-camera sitcom format (shot on a stage in front of a studio audience), and what kinds of stories and characters audiences would accept.

Royal Rendezvous is definitely not the kind of rom-com you’ll see on every channel, as the trailer TV Insider is exclusively debuting shows. The Goldbergs season 10 returned from Winter break this week with a delightful, musically-enhanced episode that underscored Adam's journey to moviemaking. "Blade Runner: The Musical" opened with a bang, delivering yet another fun dance sequence that doubled as a story beat when Adam (Sean Giambrone) was told he simply wasn't cut out for performance. But where that will take him,...

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation granted more than 800,000 in emergency financial assistance, Covid assistance, senior financial crisis aid, health assistance and disaster relief this year to members of the union, the foundation’s president, Courtney B. Vance, said in his year-end fireside chat. He also reported that the Foundation awarded another 300,000 in higher education scholarships to 106 SAG-AFTRA members and their dependents.
“We couldn’t have done any of this without the generosity of our donors,” he said, “so on behalf of the Foundation I thank you for continued support of our community in times of need. As has always been true, if you need help, please ask. And if you can help, please give.”
See his fireside chat here:
“As the industry is back up and running and productions are in full swing, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation continues to be hard at work serving as the vital safety net and free educational resource...
