We have two exclusive clips from the upcoming documentary Pray for Japan, which will be screened for one night only in AMC Theaters nationwide March 14, before its limited opening in New York and Los Angeles March 16. Director Stuart J. Levy was living in Japan when the horrific tsunami hit on March 11, 2011, and his documentary delves into the aftermath of the event as he volunteered in the coastal city of Tohoku. On March 11, 2011, Japan's Tohoku coastal region was destroyed by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and devastating tsunami that followed. Pray for Japan takes place in the devastated region of Ishinomaki, Miyagi - the largest coastal city in Tohoku with a population of over 160,000 people. Filmmaker Stuart J.
