Laurence Fishburne stars as Captain Franks, along with Casey Affleck as John, plus a supporting cast including Tomer Capone, David Morrissey, Emily Beecham, Charlotta Lövgren, Mark Ebulué, and Nikolett Barabas as the voice of "Odyssey" the spaceship system. An astronaut struggles to maintain his grip on reality aboard a possibly compromised mission to Titan near Saturn (past Jupiter). Bleecker Street has unleashed a new trailer for the psychological thriller ‘Slingshot.’

The movie follows an elite trio of astronauts aboard a years-long, possibly compromised mission to Saturn’s moon Titan. As the team gears up for a hazardous slingshot manoeuvre that will either catapult them to Titan or into deep space, it becomes increasingly difficult for one astronaut to maintain his grip on reality.

Directed by Mikael Håfström (“1408”), the cast includes Laurence Fishburne, Casey Affleck, Emily Beecham, Tomer Capone, David Morrissey, and Mark Ebulué.

This film has been on the schedule for a while – opening at the end of August – and I'm glad we finally get a look at some footage from it. Laurence Fishburne stars as Captain Franks, along with Casey Affleck as John, plus a supporting cast including Tomer Capone, David Morrissey, Emily Beecham, Charlotta Lövgren, Mark Ebulué, as well as Nikolett Barabas as the voice of "Odyssey" the spaceship system. The return of the Alien franchise isn’t the only space adventure of August. Mikael Håfström, director of the Oscar-nominated Evil and 1408, is headed deep in our galaxy with Slingshot. Led by Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne, Emily Beecham, Tomer Kapon, David Morrissey, and Mark Ebulué, the psychological thriller is written by Moon‘s Nathan Parker and R. Scott Adams. Ahead of an August 30 release, the first trailer had now arrive from Bleecker Street.

Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is another series that Neflix has spearheaded along with the video game publisher Ubisoft, and it's hitting the streaming service very soon.

Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is a spin-off of the hit video game Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and will incorporate many aspects of Ubisoft's massive catalog of games. The series was announced back in 2021 by Adi Shankar, with an official release date set for October 2023.
