How To Watch The Bad Boys Movies In Order
Image
Michael Bay's 1995 film "Bad Boys" took its title from the 1987 reggae song of the same name, performed by the Jamaican band Inner Circle. The song was used as the theme song for the overwhelmingly popular docudrama TV series "Cops" beginning in 1989, a series about uniform-wearing, on-duty police officers responding to calls. The series began on Fox and ran on that network until 2013. Paramount bought the franchise and continued to run it through 2020. After that, it was picked up by the right wing channel Fox Nation. Thanks to "Cops," Inner Circle's "Bad Boys" is now inextricably associated with the police, even though the song itself isn't expressly a pro-police polemic. "Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when then come for you?" As a police anthem, it sounds threatening.

Bay's "Bad Boys" movies used Inner Circle's song as their themes as well, and the franchise's lead characters,...

Writer/Director Christopher Folkens’ debut feature film “Catalyst”, is a gritty, contained thriller that explores the dark storylines that headline modern life. ‘Catalyst’ is a psychological thriller set to premiere across all major Tvod platforms on Tuesday February 11th. The grounded sci-fi thriller film revolves around seven strangers who wake up surrounded by an electrical force field, with collars around their necks. With no escape in sight and their captors standing guard they must unfold their darkest truths to gain their freedom and save their lives before time runs out.

The film was shot in a stunningly unique manner. Principal photography began in June of 2017 where over seven hours of footage was shot on three cameras with 100% improvised dialogue. Those sequences were expertly cut together by director Christopher Folkens which created the skeleton of what would become the feature length script, (written by Folkens with story credits to producers David Bianchi...

'Your Heart Just Breaks': This Is Us Star Milo Ventimiglia Comments on Losing House in California Wildfires
Image
In a case of art a little too closely imitating life, actor Milo Ventimiglia, star of NBC’s hit This Is Us, has lost his home to fire. Fans of the show, which ran from 2016 to 2022, will recall that Ventimiglia’s character, Jack Pearson, died after his family’s home burned on the show. Per CBS News, Ventimiglia, whose wife Jarah is pregnant, said his family’s Malibu home burned in the Los Angeles fires, which are still burning.

Ventimiglia told the news outlet that he was watching on security cameras from Tuesday night as the flames from the Palisades Fire engulfed his home, a home that already housed a crib for their new baby. “You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and what not, and then you see your neighbors' houses and everything kind of around and your heart just breaks,” Ventimiglia said.

Peacock’s Bel-Air is coming to an end with Season 4
Image
Peacock’s Bel-Air is doing “The Carlton” again after renewing the fan-favorite drama for a fourth and final season. Bel-Air is a contemporary reimagining of the beloved ’90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, starring a young Will Smith as a Philadelphia import learning to navigate the lap of luxury in Los Angeles, California. According to sources, Bel-Air Season 4 has eight episodes to end the series.

The evolution of Bel-Air is remarkable. The series comes from Morgan Cooper’s four-minute viral short, which presents a more grounded and grittier take on the characters and premise of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Bel-Air helped put Peacock’s name in the spotlight as one of the streamer’s most successful original series.

Set in the modern-day, Bel-Air is a dramatic reimagining of the Fresh Prince concept. The serialized, one-hour presentation follows “Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to...

As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.

Bel-Air is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Westbrook Studios. Carla Banks Waddles serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer.

‘Bel-Air’ Renewed For Fourth & Final Season By Peacock
Image
Exclusive: Bel-Air, which helped put Peacock on the original series map, will be coming to an end. The modern-day drama reimagining of the popular ‘90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has been picked up for a fourth season, which will be its last. According to sources, the final season will consist of eight episodes, fewer than the 10 episodes in each of the first three seasons.

The renewal comes three months after Bel-Air, produced by Universal Television and Westbrook Studios, released its Season 3 finale on Sept. 5. According to sources, it was preceded by behind-the-scenes budget conversations, which could explain the delay. The most recent Season 3 renewal came ahead of the series’ Season 2 finale.

Peacock stepped up in a major way to land Bel-Air in a very competitive situation when the project was taken out in 2020, handing the drama, based on Morgan Cooper’s viral four-minute spec trailer, a two-season pickup.

Bad Boys 4 Ignores Mike's Love Interest The Franchise Set Up 3 Years Ago
Image
Warning: Spoilers for Bad Boys: Ride or Die below!Bad Boys: Ride or Die sees Will Smith's eternal bachelor Mike getting married - just not to the love interest the franchise set up in the previous entry. The series is known for its blend of comedy and setpieces, with action auteur Michael Bay having made his name with the 1995 original.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die's cast introduces some new characters to the franchise, including Mike's former physical therapist Christine (Melanie Liburd). Ride or Die opens with Christine and Mike getting married, which marks a major evolution from the cocky, womanizing figure the latter was when the series began. Mike's Panic Attacks In Bad Boys: Ride Or Die Explained
Image
Will Smith's Mike experiences several panic attacks during Bad Boys: Ride or Die, but what's causing them? Smith was a huge television star throughout the early 1990s thanks to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but it was the first Bad Boys movie that transformed him into a megastar. Smith's turn as cocky Miami cop Mike Lowrey changed audience perceptions of him, and he followed up with more hits like Independence Day and Men in Black.

It was Smith's immense chemistry with co-star Martin Lawrence that really made the Bad Boys series a success, though. Bad Boys: Ride or Die broke a Rotten Tomatoes record for the series, and grossed over $400 million worldwide (via Box Office Mojo). The latest film continues Mike's gradual evolution from a flashy, brash womanizer into a mature, introspective man. The most recent entries have seen Mike undergo some major changes, which include surviving a shooting...

How To Watch Bad Boys: Ride Or Die At Home
Image
"Bad Boys" is one of the best movies that Michael Bay ever made. The first movie puttthe director on the map with a recognizable visual style and a fun story, while the second movie remains one of the most violent and nihilistic action movies ever made -- as well as being Bay's finest movie to date. After Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah brought a fresh and unique perspective to the franchise in "Bad Boys for Life," which seemed to be a swan song for Will Smith's Mike Lowry and Martin Lawrence's Marcus Burnett, the acting duo -- as well as the directing duo -- all return for what is arguably the funniest movie in the franchise, "Bad Boys: Ride or Die."

Will Smith Reveals How Crucial Martin Lawrence Scene in Bad Boys 4 Happened
Image
The following contains major spoilers for Bad Boys: Ride or Die, now showing in theaters.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die nearly saw one of its main characters meet his demise in a shocking early twist that shaped the action-comedy sequel. Will Smith reveals how a crucial scene featuring co-star Martin Lawrence played out in new behind-the-scenes footage from the summer blockbuster.

Via Instagram, Smith showed a set video showing how Lawrence's heart attack scene unfolded in Ride or Die. The footage sees Lawrence moving up and down a contraption as he simulates his cardiac arrest. Though Smith said he knows Lawrence "hated" using the device, he insisted his co-star "ripped that scene" and insisted it looks "crazy" in the film as he also replayed the scene from the finished product.
