Elena Bawiec is a film and podcast producer whose award-winning projects have traveled to multiple prestigious festivals around the world, accumulating several accolades. She recently co-produced the 2022 Sundance award-winning film '892' starring John Boyega, Michael K. Williams, and Connie Britton. Previously, Elena served as a Physical Production Executive for the LA unit of director Roland Emmerich's WWII epic 'Midway'. The box office hit opened at number one in the U.S. and has grossed over $140 million globally to date.
Elena has also produced award-winning and genre-defining audio series, including critically acclaimed and Top-10 podcast 'Blockbuster', back-to-back winner of Adweek's Podcast of the Year Award for Best Creative Podcast, as well as 2021 nominee for The Podcast Academy's Podcast of the Year.
She was also an executive producer on the acclaimed short film 'The Suitcase', which premiered at the renowned Tribeca Film Festival and was acquired by ShortsTV, ARTE, and HBO. Some technologies developed on the film were adopted as standard by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. 'The Suitcase' was sponsored by prestigious film organizations including George Lucas' think tank The Entertainment Technology Center, Disney, Universal Studios, and Google.
Originally from Moscow, Russia, Elena brings a European perspective, flair, and artistry to her work, supporting daring and outside-of-the-box stories, from thrillers to art house. She now lives and works in Los Angeles and holds a master's degree in Film Production from the esteemed USC School of Cinematic Arts, one of the most respected film schools in the world.
