NCIS' 1000th episode featured Spence Moore II's debut as Jared Vance. The NCIS producers recast Jared twice, as Khamani Griffin and Akinsola Aribo played Director Vance's son before Moore. Spence Moore II has had success in roles before he starred as Jared in NCIS season 21, episode 7.
The 1000th episode of the NCIS franchise was full of shocks, but one of the hour's most significant storylines revolved around NCIS Director Leon Vance, played by Rocky Carroll, and his son, Jared Vance, who a new actor portrayed. The CBS military police procedural television series, created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill, has been on the air for almost 21 years, with over 460 episodes and four spin-offs (and two more coming) under its belt. NCIS' success is unmatched, but when any show runs for that long, cast members tend to come and go, and recasts are necessary.

Big news has been revealed about the upcoming 1000th episode of the NCIS franchise.
Per TVLine, it has been revealed that the special episode will include at least one main character from both NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawai'i. Daniela Ruah is set to reprise her role as Special Agent Kensi Blye-Deeks, returning to the franchise after starring in 14 seasons of the hit spinoff show NCIS: Los Angeles. Also on board for the special is Vanessa Lachey, who currently leads the cast of the spinoff NCIS: Hawai'i as Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant. However, there is a catch, as neither Kensi nor Jane will appear "in person" with the NCIS characters. The appearances are still teased as "quite fun," though it's not clear how exactly they will be featured. The episode will premiere on April 15 on CBS.

After the success of New Girl’s post-Super Bowl episode, Jake Johnson is hoping lightning strikes again this week as his indie film The Pretty One opens.
In the film, which premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, Zoe Kazan (Ruby Sparks) does double duty as twin sisters. When one passes away, the other assumes her twin’s identity and falls in love with her sister’s boyfriend (Johnson). “Zoe Kazan does an amazing job in that movie,” says Johnson. “I think she’s such a phenomenal actress and just kills it.”
